Chapter 1, Awakening

The night air carried the putrid smell of blood and flesh, the ground was covered with corpses twisted and unrecognizable faces. In the middle of this battlefield, no massacre, there was a bloodied old man, his eyes dead at the sight of this scene.

"…maybe it will finally happen…"

"..my system will awaken…"

"..just maybe I can fight for the inheritance of a mighty God, or start my own sect, shock the world with my talent…."

"…just maybe…" his eyes slowly closed, hoping he may finally get his golden finger.

"Wha-, where am I?" He asked in a confused but weak tone.

"What are you?" He asked knowing that this is his golden finger he holds back his excitement.

{I am the Awakening System}

"Awakening System?"

{Yes Host, my purpose is to guide you to become the strongest being, to become the strongest being you need to survive, I will awaken other systems, although most are not intelligent and will not answer your questions, most likely the system will be related to your situation. After you complete your system's guide, you will be granted another system}

"Another system, will I be able to use that system when I get another?" He asked hopefully, he wanted to keep that system because he can still get things from that store.

"Yesss! Well I should probably build a camp" He was very excited to get his first system, but he should handle shelter first.

He walked around looking for a flat and spacious piece of land, he also was looking for a hidden space. He walked through the trees making himself aware of his surroundings, after all this forest isn't called 'The Forbidden Forest' for nothing.

As he was nimbly looking around and avoid any bugs or plants that looked poisonous, the system let out a *ding sound.

"Oh, yes" he said in a surprised but happy tone.

"Huh I guess I will easily survive"

'Survival System Status' Suddenly a blue screen appeared in his vision.

"A lot to do, let's get to it" he said in a cheerful tone, he was already happy about transmigrating, but he also got such a great system.

*A few hours later

"Alright so I've made a shelter, gathered firewood and made a spear from this tree branch, alright next to do is get 5 rabbits" For all of the missions he completed he got a total of 3000 system coins, he can use them to get things in the shop.

As he quietly crouched across the forest floor, he heard a rustle in the bush to his left. He immediately stopped in his tracks and watched the bush, a rabbit jumped out a few seconds later. He carefully approached it with his spear ready, he watched the ground and made sure he didn't step on anything. He then raised his spear and aimed it at the rabbit, the rabbit not expecting anything, got hit in the chest and pinned to the ground.

The rabbit squealed in pain as the spear didn't kill it immediately, it shook and twisted trying to run away, but it was too late. He swiftly walked up to it and snapped it's neck, he then quietly looked around hoping for more rabbits to come by.

A couple minutes went by and he successfully hunted five rabbits. He went back to his shelter and sharpened a stone to skin the rabbits, as he was doing that he curiously asked the System something,"System what kind of world am I in?"

"Hmm, system what are all the levels and such for everything?"

{For starters are Cultivators, Body tempering, Qi Gathering, Foundation Establishment, Qi Sea, Golden Core, Soul Forming, Nascent Soul, Soul Strengthening, Body Strengthening, Transcendence, Mayana, further you need more cultivation, then Mages are, Apprentice Mage, Junior mage, Senior Mage, Archmage, Great mage, Divine mage, same thing. Body temperors are, Body tempering tier 1-20 mortal stage, also higher levels more strength, Monsters are tier 1-6, higher tiers are more strength}

"That's a lot, how am I supposed to become the strongest"

{The system will make you immortal, in age of course but nothing else}

"Hmm, well I will try my best, hopefully"
