CH42:JIN AND THE DRAGON.

[4:00 PM]

[Location: RedZone]

The scent grew stronger gradually as Elvis advanced deeper into RedZone. Walking from the outskirts into the inner parts, he felt like he was getting closer and further at the same time. Each time the scent was strongest, he'd find himself hitting a dead end and starting all over again. However, Elvis didn't give up. He kept moving forward, forgetting that he barely knew who he was or this alternate version of Earth.

"Each time I think I'm getting closer, I just keep hitting dead ends," Elvis complained. "Is this dragon one with camouflage? Do they know I'm looking for them? Can they smell me too? No. This scent is for a newborn. Must be a child, but it's also strong so they too must be strong."

Elvis roamed the edges of RedZone for two hours and thirty minutes until he finally chose to give up. With nothing left to do, he chose to climb a tall building and admire the vast size of the new world he was in. "Wow. Humans really let this place go," he remarked while feeling the stinging air blow against his eyes. "Yet again, they have grown in terms of technology. I mean, look at those flying cities. That's pretty cool. If only I had my wings, maybe I'd be able to fly over there."

*SNAP*

A sharp, horribly painful sensation hit Elvis' spine so hard that he fell off the tall building he was on. As he fell, images of the dragon evolving and vanishing played out again in his mind, only this time, they were more violent and almost traumatizing. Feelings of electrical sparks coursed through his nervous system, making him feel what the dragon in his memories was feeling.

"What's happening…to me!"

*THUD*

Elvis fell on top of a large man who, with a couple of others, was standing by a damaged piece of property. Upon impact, the large man fell to his stomach while Elvis remained on his back for a while.

"Hey, get off of me," he urged while elbowing Elvis off him. "What's your problem? Are you looking to die?"

Although he was in pain, Elvis lifted his aching head and acknowledged who he just fell on. The man was surprisingly large with a fat upper and lower body. His arms were covered with Eastern dragon tattoos, and his forehead had a dragon tattooed on it. The others standing next to him had some form of dragon tattoo on them, and Elvis couldn't help but think to himself.

'Gangsters. These are all gangsters. Earth still has these?' He wondered as the pain in his body subsided. "I'm sorry, but may I ask you one question?"

"No, you're going to pay for that. DIE!!" The large man lifted his heavy leg and attempted to stomp on Elvis' head. Not wanting to die just yet, Elvis rolled over and spun around until he got back on his feet.

"Hey, I just want to talk. Can't you just grant me that one wi…." All of a sudden, the large man's facial expression was one of distress as his skin slowly turned purple. His face dripped with sweat as his breath became heavy.

"How many times must I tell you that attacking innocent civilians isn't allowed."

'It's him. The wannabe dragon.' Elvis' eyes dilated as his nose sniffed in nothing but sulfur. As for the large man, his legs gave out as his large body slammed to the ground like an old tree.

"What the… it's… a grown man?" Elvis caught eyes with what he expected to be a child. "You're a grown man."

"And so are you, kid." Jin replied as he wondered what this strange white-haired lad was going on about. "Are you lost or something? What do you want?"

"No no no. Your scent's too young for you to be a grown man." The rest of the tattooed gangsters chuckled at Elvis' remark, which practically mocked Jin.

"What did you just say? Are you trying to die today?" Jin drew his hand out of his pocket and showed the switchblade he kept in it.

[Dragon Walk Skill: Activated.]

With only one step, Jin leaped to Elvis' side with his switchblade ready to attack. His speed and agility were unlike anything Elvis had ever seen for a human, but compared to him, it was nothing. As soon as he got close enough, Jin took a swing for the white-haired man's head. However, Elvis leaned over and used both his hands to gently but quickly push Jin's hand away. This caused Jin's trajectory to change to a different location while Elvis stepped aside.

'He dodged my attack, even with my new power,' Jin acted surprised, but he didn't stop just yet. Once again, he took only one step and attacked Elvis once more, only this time, he kept throwing his switchblade from one hand to another.

"Let's see you dodge this." Jin swung for Elvis' stomach this time but somehow managed to miss as Elvis pushed the hand away, lowered towards Jin's ear, and whispered, "I know you're a dragon."

At that moment, Jin felt a bone-crushing sense of fear as he looked into Elvis' eyes which changed color for a split second. His body automatically leaped back and assumed a defensive position while his system sent numerous warning notifications.

"Boss, do you want us to take care of him?" The Dragons standing next to Jin asked as they drew out their weapons, which consisted of switchblades, maces, and beast crystal-powered staffs that emitted a powerful electrical shock.

"No. Leave him be." Jin replied. Although he didn't want to admit it, he knew that neither he nor his Dragons would be able to handle this white-haired lad.

"What is your name?" Jin asked as he hoped that he wouldn't get attacked.

"Meet me here later tonight, then I'll tell you my name. Come alone too. I'm interested and shocked that you don't know what you are." With that said Elvis calmly walked away into RedZone, leaving Jin and the Dragons very confused.

Surprised and severely confused, Jin was left standing with his Dragons while he kept asking himself one question. 'How did he know about me being a dragon?'
