CH12: THE DRAGON'S DEN.

[2 AM']

[RedZone]

"Boss. We're going to need assistance." The lead CRAIN field agent spoke into his wrist chip.

"What do you need assistance for? Can't you do it on your own?" Their boss asked from the farthest end of Desper.

"Sir, the pendant's in the worst place you want it to be! We've followed the tracker and…well, it has led us to The Dragon's Den."

The CRAIN leader took a deep breath and replied saying, "Whatever you do, do not split up. In your possession is never seen before technology so if any of you lose it, they'll end up cracking it and making their own versions. Do not engage them, I'm sending reinforcements right away."

There was a good reason for him and his agents to feel the way they felt at the moment. If any of The Dragons got a hold of the pendant and learned of its true powers, they'd destroy everything in their path. The pendants granted their possessors the ability to turn into their assigned mutants. To top it all off, they would be guided by a super system that not even the most elite's computer systems had, making whoever got the pendants a walking, killing machine.

" I'll try and see how quickly I can get reinforcements to your current location. In the meantime, go in like you wish to conduct business with them. Their leader might be tricky but he's an illegitimate businessman. Talk money and he'll be in your palms, understood."

"Yes, Sir."

The conversation ended and the CRAIN agents cautiously made their way into The Dragon's pit, the name of the base. The base was a large, magnificent, ancient Chinese-designed facility with beautiful green pillars made of precious jade, glazing marble floors, and over six floors filled with Dragon gangsters.

In the center was a gorgeous, emerald-green fountain with a red dragon statue pouring out blood-red water. In the fountain sat a fairly built man with gelled jet-black hair and a dragon tattoo that started from his left chest, wrapped around his left arm, and went to his lower back.

His arms were covered in dragon tattoos but the most surprising of them all were the words, BloodShed, tattooed on his forearms. The man's eyes were slim and cold, making him possess a natural death stare. His thick eyebrows made him look naturally frowned and his wrinkles formed perfectly to further complement his sadistic look.

The CRAIN received stares from the crazy, violent men and women inside the building. Some were extremely toned, probably from illegally consuming steroids, while others were extremely buff with large guts and heavy thick arms. Some were skinny friends playing with knives while others were dead serious men and women with the stench of death all over them.

The place also had service women dressed in revealing clothing which almost showed their entire bodies to whoever bothered to look.. Now all of them were enjoying their evening but now that men in jet-black suits pranced in, they dropped everything they were doing and gnarled, hissed, and spat at them.

"Whoever you are," The man in the fountain spoke with a deep, foghorn voice, "Whatever you want. Turn back now while your legs are still attached to your bodies."

The main CRAIN agent gulped hard, took a deep breath, and replied saying, "Why don't you turn around and say that to my face again?" The men closest to the CRAIN agent quickly surrounded him and held knives and broken glass at his neck and head.

"How dare you talk to our leader like that?"

"You have no respect. Your tongue will look good on my wall."

"Say that again and it will be the last thing you say."

The alleged leader stood up dramatically from the fountain and slowly turned to face the CRAIN agent. The CRAIN agents tried keeping straight faces since the Dragon's leader got out of the fountain without any pants, making his privates public to everyone. Looking at the CRAIN agents brought a smile to his face while two men clothed him with a silky red robe.

"It's not every day I get the infamous CRAIN visiting my humble home." He cockily smiled. "Tell me. What brings you here?"

The CRAIN agent took a deep breath and replied with the most straight face he could have saying, "We're here on business. Mr....."

"Oh...where are my manners." The leader spoke as he walked closer to the CRAIN agents, getting too close to their faces. "My name's Jin Peng. Business man, entrepreneur and friend to all of RedZone. I'm the nicest man you'll find around here.'

"We know all you've said is a lie, Jin, Leader of The Dragons."

"Hahaha. Now tell me. What sort of business brings you to The Dragon's Den at this time of night? Do you not fear for your lives.?"

"Actually." Another voice spoke from the entrance. The CRAIN agents sighed in relief, knowing who damn well the voice belonged to. The black-robed man walked in with fifty more CRAIN agents, each equipped with heavy weapons that were never seen before. "You have something that belongs to me, Jin."

Jin scoffed as he puffed out a large smoke cloud from his cigar. "Do you think I would have the balls to go against the CRAIN and steal something from them? How naive do you think me, Jin Peng, leader of Dragons, can be?"

"Don't start sh*tting with me, Jin." The CRAIN leader replied, both staring each other dead in the eyes. "I know damn well you're capable of doing such. Besides, you made a mistake stealing something that I purposely had tracked." The Boss snapped his fingers and the main CRAIN agent brought out the tracker.

It beeped loudly, signifying that what they were tracking was in the facility they stood in. "Hand it over, NOW!!" The Boss said with a dead stare. Jin spat out his cigar, stepped on it with his bare feet and said, "If you're so brave to come here with such few men, why don't you tear this place down and take it."

"Gladly."
