Chapter Forty-Five

“Come on!!” You screamed at the ship. Finally the ferrin groaned and shook violently as it tried to change direction. Your arms vibrated while trying to forcefully pull the controls back. Trees and branches scraped against the underbelly of the Ferrin before we sunk into the forest hitting trees and rocks. Loud screeching and explosions rocked the ship as parts were torn off.

“Shit! We're going to crash!” The ground was rapidly approaching and only seconds until impact. With only one thing left to do you flung yourself from the seat and dived on top of Helena, pulling her into your arms and holding her tight. You shield her with your body as the ship smashed into everything bouncing you two around like marbles in a jar. With a vice like grip you shield Helena and squeezed your eyes shut and braced for impact.
