Avery and Caleb got in the car saying their goodbyes she’d enjoyed spending time with Matt and Shawna and their news shocked her but she was happy that she would be an aunt in around six months time, she hadn’t enjoyed Caleb’s presence though he’d cut her out most of the time unless he was drunk and it didn't go unnoticed . He drove with his foot down like he couldn’t wait to get home. He finally spoke. ‘Just cause what happened at you brothers happend doesn’t mean I still don’t want you out.’

Her lips trembled.

Heartless bastard.

‘Tears don’t work on me Avery. You had your chance and you ruined it.’

‘And you said you’d give me time.’

‘I changed my mind. I can’t keep waiting for you Avery. I've waited for you long enough.’

‘Whatever I’m done with this conversation Caleb.’

‘Good I have nothing else to add.’

The drive was painfully silent. He pulled up outside the apartment she was first to get out, rushing into the apartment going to her room packing.

She pulled her suitcase out she should’ve never agreed to stay with him he wanted more than she even could give though she had feelings for him she couldn’t put them first not anymore their friendship was far to important to destroy or so she thought.

‘Where are you going?”

‘I’m leaving.’

‘And where will you go you have nowhere to go?’

‘To Eviline’s she’s on her way.’

‘So you’re going there to hop from one bed to another?’

‘What no.’

‘Don’t lie to me Avery. I know her brother is staying there. You're nothing but a cheap whore.’

Her hand crashed against his face slapping it. ‘We’re done Caleb I want nothing else to do with you, nothing.’ She said holding her tears back. ‘And as for our friendship it’s done,over, never contact me again.’

She picked up the suitcases and headed for the door. ‘I honestly thought you knew me better than that , I was wrong Caleb you disappoint me. I gave you another chance and you threw it all back on my face, some friend you are.’

She stormed out slamming the door

He stood shocked he’d screwed up badly this time.

Eviline helped her with her suitcases. And she looked at Avery. ‘What happened honey?’

She burst into tears. ‘Oh honey corne here.’ She pulled her into a hug. ‘Come on everything. Will be okay.’

She shook her head and she knew it wouldn’t.

‘Come on let’s get into the car and we can talk once we get back okay.’

She nodded a yes. Eviline dropped her arms from around her and they got into the car and Eviline pulled away.
