A person born in the Avatar World a year before Aang awakes. Luckily he had a system to help him through.
(Kale POV)
I always liked the concept of reincarnation. It reminded of me games as it meant that I could restart my life so that I could do better next time. While I do like the concept of it, I never thought that the day would come where I will one day experience it myself. I mean, I always that once you die, you die. No heaven. No hell. Just gone from the world.
But here I am, good as new with my fifteen-year-old body in the middle of a large city that clearly loved the color brown and Asian buildings. I'm talking about the old type of buildings where the houses have pointy shoulders and a pointy roof like the Forbidden City. Aside from that, there is also a railway system throughout the city? I wasn't sure about it, but I did notice that it was connected and something was traveling on it.
Now, I am not the brightest in the world when it comes to real-life stuff, but I've never gotten anything less than an A in school work. However, at this moment, I wanted to slap myself for not recognizing where I was. It should've been obvious to me due to the fact that I was recently watching this show with my little brother who just happened to take an interest in Avatar, the Last Airbender. Cool right? Wrong! If memory serves me correctly, doesn't Omashu get taken over later? How much time does that give me in order to leave?
More importantly, what the hell am I wearing? White shirt, a black haori that reached raised reached my waist, and shorts that barely passed my knees? Uh hello? Reincarnation? You're not supposed to give me random clothing that surprisingly looks good on me. Although...it's kind comfy.
[Hello User. I am your helper. To start everything, please pick your element.]
Ah, bless. Just what I need actually. The only problem I have now is what element could I pick from the basic four. Wait...can I go get an element outside the basic four?
[Yes and No. You can get Nature, but you can not get Time or Space. Nothing that hasn't and will not exist in the future of this world can be used.]
That confirms it. No time bending for me even though it would be so cool to do that. Also, nature? I don't remember that in Korra or Last. Hm...I always did like lightning. Screw it. That's what I'm picking! Could I do a venom blast? Maybe even Chidori? Oooh, Lightning Mode. Now that's something I'm looking forward to using. Omg. An Iron Sand Sword! It would be so bada*s if I could do that.
[Lightning Element has been chosen.]

Element
- Lightning(0%)
*Lightning Generation, Lightning Hands
Traits
- Stamina(Infinite Reserves of energy)
- Demon(Feed on the energy of negative emotions)
- Angel(Feed on the energy of positive emotions)
Uh...should I be worried about my last two traits? Demon and Angel? I'm still human right? Oh, Christ. This going to be a disaster, isn't it?
(Normal POV)
In the next month, Kale learned what it meant to have the Demon and Angel trait on him. It's like having a food source that doesn't exist. If someone is happy and I'm around, their positive emotions turns into food that fills my stomach and energizes me. The same thing applies to the Demon Trait. Well...at least my food requirement was gone and that will certainly help with saving up money and surviving in the wild. The only problem is water and shelter. I've been sleeping on the streets for so long that I think I started to develop back problems.
Oh right. I also learned my timeline as to where I am sort of. So far, Aang hasn't been discovered yet so I probably had a few months at best. That's why the south pole was my target so that I could meet up with him. Truthfully, the most dangerous location is the safe place out there.
That's why I trained like crazy for the next nine months to get stronger and I've succeeded quite a bit.

With my plans that I made, I chose to pick up Air bending. Needless to say, it was one of the best decisions of my life. Lightning was about being uncontrollable while Air was about being a free spirit. Due to their similarity of being unrestrained, Air bending came easy and I mastered it in a third of the time it took for me to master Lightning. Now, I could fulfill my lifelong dream to become a bird.
Let's just say that me using air to fly across the nation caught some attention and I became a target for the Fire Nation like I intended to become. Due to them chasing me so much, they never bothered going to the south pole and focused solely on me. Eventually, I lost them, but the news that the Avatar returned has spread. It was hilarious to watch a certain bald monk react to the news with so much confusion. I think it's time I make my entry soon.
