Chapter 35: The Game Begins

Alex went to Xia Mansion and directly went to Qingyue's room. She was not there at the moment. Alex did just laid on her bed. He had already sensed her presence and he knew that she had felt his energy signature too as she was currently moving towards the room. 

Alex just laid there with a smile, and soon she came inside. She looked at Alex and a look of redness appeared on her face seeing that Alex was laying on her bed.

She moved towards him and asked while sitting on the bed "Where did you go last night?"

Alex looked at her with a smile and said " I was in a nearby forest, around 15 kilometers away from here, messing with the ghosts."

A weird look appeared on Qingyue's face as she thought that Alex was messing with her.

But she just nodded and Alex asked, 

"How is everything with your father and brother?"

Hearing his question, a smile appeared on Qingyue's face as she also laid on the bed beside him and snuggled upwards and kept her head on his arms and her arms on his chest.

Alex certainly did not expect this kind of move from her all of a sudden as she was shy when it came to such matters. 

Nevertheless, he did not reject it and let her have her way with his body. :)

Her face looked red right now, yet a smile was still there on her face as she spoke once again with her head on Alex's arms,

"Everything is fine now, they have forgiven me for everything I did before."

Qingyue then looked upwards and her eyes met with Alex's eyes as she spoke softly,

"Everything is becoming better and better from the moment you have arrived in my life. You are the anchor of my happiness, the reason of why my smile have returned."

Alex felt his heartbeat increase, he did not want to show this nervousness of his and spoke,

"I heard of lady luck before but I guess I am your Man luck." Alex lightly chuckled at his own joke.

Qingyue spoke once again, "Yes...Yes you are....you are my man" with her voice so soft that it gave Alex goosebumps.

Qingyue moved her lips towards Alex's lips.

"Alex.."

"Yu'er...."

Alex too did not shy away from her and slowly moved his lips towards hers.

There was only an inch left between their lips and suddenly the door burst open and a shout came along with a burly child.

"Sister!! Something major has happened!!"

Yep, this boy was Xia Yuanba. 

A few seconds later a loud scream of Xia Qingyue sounded in the entire Xia Mansion.

"GET OUT!!!"

Qingyue also hurriedly left the bed and ran off outside the room with an evident blush on her face.

After this, she could not look at Alex in his eyes due to embarrassment.

Few minutes later, Xia Yuanba, Hongyi , Qingyue and Alex had gathered inside the guest room.

Qingyue's face was still red from embarrassment.

But, on the face of Xia Hongyi, a grave look could be seen.

Alex knew that something serious had happened. Qingyue also noticed and decided to ask Hongyi about it,

"Is something that is concerning you, father?"

Xia Hongyi broke from his thoughts and spoke,

"Xiao Lie of the Xiao clan is dead." Xia Hongyi said with a sigh.

Qingyue was shocked at this and even Alex was momentarily stunned.

Alex decided to ask, "How? Even though he was weak, he was the strongest in this city."

Alex was in serious confusion when he asked this.

He certainly did not expect this to happen at all. Xiao Lie's death was never a part of his plans regarding the Ancestral Goddess, Xiao Lingxi.

Xia Hongyi replied, "It seems that he went to the Xiao sect with the Purple Veined Divine Crystal you gave him in exchange for finding a cure for Xiao Che's condition."

"But he was tortured and killed by the Xiao Sect and the Purple Veined Divine Crystal was taken from him."

"But that did not stop here at all. This morning the Xiao Sect's Young master arrived in the Floating Cloud City and is currently in the Xiao Clan. Just now, I got the news that Xiao Che was poisoned and the Xiao Clan is pinning the blame on Xiao Lingxi. "

Alex was stunned for a moment but decided that he needed to go there.

He needed answers.

Was Yun Che still alive? Or did his presence alter his future too?

Alex then looked at Qingyue, who seemed to understand what he wanted to say and nodded.

Just then, Alex suddenly disappeared from the room and Xia Yuanba was stunned for a moment and spoke in astonishment,

"Brother-in-law is really fast!"

Xiao Clan

A frail looking girl's body could be seen at the center of the hall. Her hands were tied and her eyes had marks of tears.

This was Xiao Lingxi, the thousandth and the final reincarnation of the Ancestral Goddess.

Yet, here she was, standing like a corpse. She was broken when she heard of her father's death.

In this guest hall, there were nearly all the elders of the Xiao Clan present and also the Xiao Sect's Young Master, Xiao Kuangyun. 

Yet, another shock came for her, Xiao Che, her nephew was poisoned and had died and her clan had balmed it all on her. She could not handle all of this. 

The clan head had decided that as the punishment of her actions, she will have to serve the Xiao Sect's young master for the rest of her life.

Why did all of this happen?

Why?

The last thing she remembered before being carried to this hall was that when she saw her nephew dying, a sudden surge of energy came from her body and then she had passed out.

And once again, remembering all of this made her overwhelmed and she passed out once again.

But just as her body was about to touch the ground, a wave of energy came and held her body from falling.

A figure came and took Xiao Lingxi's body into his arms. This was Alex.

And right now, there was a dead look in his eyes right now. He had heard what was going to happen with Xiao Lingxi if he had not interfered.

Seeing Alex, the Xiao clan leader trembled with fear and just as he was about speak, Alex waved his hand and all the people suddenly started falling downwards with their eyes turning completely white.

Right now, Alex had destroyed the souls of all the people involved in this accident.

Alex then disappeared from there with Xiao Lingxi in his hands and went straight to the Xia Mansion and let her rest there. He explained everything that had conspired in the Xiao Clan.

His plans regarding the the future were now set.

He had already sensed Yun Che running from the Xiao Clan. And his reincarnation was successful as Alex sensed the presence of Sky Poison Pearl on his hand.

Alex thought, 'Yun Che, you might think that you are destined for something great in this life, but all you will ever amount to is nothing more than a collector who collects some items for me. That's all your role is going to be.'
