Chapter 13: Ambush [6]

But just before Keith could start attacking the wild monsters, he suddenly remembered something very important which he has been overlooking since he got here.

'Wait. Hey Jerry, if this is a planned ambush, then why is that girl here ?' asked Keith with a confused expression on his face.

[Hmmm, I do not know. But that is a good question. Why is she here ?] - asked the system with a pondering tone in its robotic voice.

'You do not think that she is with them, right ?' asked Keith with an ominous feeling in his gut.

[Do not over think it host. She really is unconscious.] - said the system with an analysing tone in its robotic voice.

'Is she alive ?' asked Keith with a worried tone in his voice and an equally worried expression on his face.

[What ?! Of course she is fool ! Why did you think about that ?!] - asked the system with a slightly irritated tone in its robotic voice as it reprimanded Keith for his stupid question.

'Hey I do not want to fight and kill all of these monsters and then when I go to her I find out that she is already dead !' said Keith in a flat tone in his voice as he explained to the system why he had asked that question in the first place.

[Do not worry host, I have checked her pulse and I have found out that she is alive.] - said the system as it reassured Keith about the unconscious girl's condition.

'Okay then, I will have to hurry up with this matter so that I can keep it that way,' said Keith in his head as he looked at the large group of monsters with killing intent visible in his eyes.

Just then he saw all of the monsters attack him at the same time.

He dodged the first orc's attack by jumping onto the face of another orc.

He then used the orc's face to support his weight as he bent down to build momentum for what he was planning on doing next.

He then used the orc's face as his support frame as he stood up and pushed his body weight onto the orc's face.

He then jumped backwards as he flipped over the head of an orc that had its hand stretched out with a club in its hand.

As soon as Keith stepped off of the orc's face, the said orc started to disintegrate into nothingness as it had just for a brief second got into contact with Keith's destructive aura.

The other monsters watched as their comrade just fading away in front of them.

After a few seconds the body had completely disappeared as if it had never existed before.

And then silence covered the battlefield only for a brief moment only for it to be broken by the sound of drop items appearing and falling onto the ground with a loud thud.

The orc that had, had Keith backflip over its head looked at Keith fly over its head while he winked at it with a large smile plastered on his face.

The said orc then swung its large hand that was holding its huge club towards Keith's body in anger as it glared daggers at Keith.

But unfortunately for the huge monster, he missed Keith's body and happened to smash his weapon into a goblin's body.

The poor goblin flew into a nearby tree as its head blew open, with a loud popping sound, into tiny pieces as its blood sprayed every creature within its vicinity.

The other monsters started to scream and roar as their comrade just died in front of them.

The said goblin's dead body started to disintegrate into nothingness after a few seconds as the familiar sound of drop items appearing and then falling onto the ground with a loud thud filled the sound area.

The large horde of monsters started to turn their gazes towards Keith as they glared at him with killing intent visible in their monstrous eyes.

The orc that had struck the poor little goblin set its gaze that was filled with killing intent visible in its eyes because it blamed Keith for the little goblin's death.

Yes, if it was not for this human then the little goblin would have never died in the first place !

It would have never killed the little goblin if it were not for the human.

Yes ! It is the human's fault !

I will kill him !

And I will make everything good again !

Yes, he must die !

As the orc was steeling its own resolve to go to kill Keith, the said boy just watched on with curiosity visible on his his face as he looked at the orc's surrounding's which were undergoing a change.

The aura surrounding the orc's was turning into a darker shade of red as its eyes turn blood red.

Its claws sharpened and so did its teeth as they seemed to become the sharpest things on the planet, even capable of slicing and dicing through anything that it comes into contact with.

'Why are they angry at me ? I am not the one who killed that little goblin !' said Keith with a slightly questioning expression on his face as he looked at the furious gazes that the monsters were throwing at him.

[The host has more things to worry about now than the gazes that all the other monsters are throwing at him.] - said the system with a slightly concerned tone in its robotic voice as it warned Keith about some impending danger.

'Hmm ? What is it Jerry ?' asked Keith with a slightly confused tone in his voice as his face contorted into a different expression from the questioning expression that he was showing to the large horde of monsters.

[That orc. It is giving off a very dangerous aura.] - said the system with a slightly concerned tone in its robotic voice as it voiced its concern to Keith.

'Yeah, but my destructive aura can deal with it. Right ?' asked Keith with a slightly concerned tone in his voice as he started to feel a little bit worried about the capability of the orc's transformation from the way that the system was getting worried.

[Yes it can but you must make sure that you stay vigilant and that tread carefully because if you take one wrong step then it could end in dire consequences for you.] - said the system with a slightly concerned tone in its robotic voice as it gave Keith some advice about his predicament.

'Whoo~ . You almost had me worried there Jerry,' said Keith with a slightly calm tone in his voice as he sighed heavily in relief that his destructive aura could still protect him from the orc's dangerous transformation as well as the large horde of monsters.

[There is no need for the host to sigh in relief yet. Overconfidence will lead you into making stupid mistakes that could pose a threat to your life.] - said the system with a slightly concerned tone in its robotic voice as it warned Keith about his overconfidence.

'Yes that is true Jerry,' said Keith as he took the system's advice into consideration.

[Do you see the orc's claws ?] - asked the system with a flat tone in its robotic voice which caused Keith to look at the orc's extremely sharpened claws which reflected the sun's rays in every direction which caused them to shine really brightly.

'Yes. What about them ?' asked Keith with a slightly questioning tone in his voice as he looked at the orc's extremely sharpened claws, which were shining really brightly, with a slightly apprehensive expression on his face.

[Its claws are sharp enough to slice and dice your sword [The Sword Of The Devourer] into shreds.] - said the system with a flat tone as it was trying to give Keith another advice, which was aimed at telling him to not rush in head first with his sword as he could end up in deep trouble.

'What ?! But how ?' thought Keith as his brain started to absorb the information which the system had given him.

'Only [The Sword Of The Devourer] ? What about [The Sword Of Destruction] ?' asked Keith with a slightly confused tone in his voice as he started to ponder about the reasons, himself.

[Good question. It seems like someone is starting to use his brain, which God gave him for free, before jumping head first into a battle like he used to do before. Colour me impressed !] - said the system with an excited tone in its robotic voice as it was starting to feel proud about Keith's growth which caused Keith to grit his teeth in anger as his veins started to pop out on the side of his head.

'What do you mean by saying tha- ,' was all that Keith was able to say before he got interrupted by the system's rambling.

[Well ... you see, [The Sword Of Destruction] which belonged to the [God Of Destruction] before he disappeared also contains the [Destruction] element. So the sword can also release a destructive aura that can cover it which makes it able to deal more damage as well as being able to protect itself as well at the same time.] - said the system with a very knowledgeable tone in its robotic voice as it explained the capabilities of [The Sword Of Destruction] to Keith who just got surprised as he heard the system's explanation about his sword's capabilities.
