James Lee is a Korean-born American teacher who is currently teaching in a Korean high school as per his friend's recommendation after gaining teaching experience from America. He is assigned to be the adviser of Freshmen Class A. Students start to like their new teacher, but little do they know that he's not just some good-looking charismatic teacher. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first ever work and I'm just writing this for fun. If there's anything illogical or something BS to the story, don't be surprised. I'm just a newbie. Anyways, enjoy reading! - Y.J. Shin

Y.K.

How does Mr. Yang know Blood Moon?

For me right now, this is more peculiar than his personality.

I want to find out how he managed to know that, but right now, I have to maneuver him.

You know I'm gonna pretend.

"No. What's that?"

Mr. Yang gives me a death stare while on his seat. That gives me creeps.

"Um, Mr. Yang? You're giving me creeps. What's going on?"

He continuously gives me that death stare. Legit, It's freaking me out!

"You know what's going on, Mr. Lee."

"Actually, no I don't."

Mr. Yang stands up, gets his cup, walks away from the seat, to the water dispenser on his right. He fills it with cold water until it gets full.

All of a sudden…

He throws the fill! Towards me!

Here's the thing: if I dodge the water, there's a chance of me getting exposed. So I'm not gonna dodge it. Thank God it's water.

*splash*

Right in my face!

My face got drenched in water. I thought it was accurate. I mean he didn't even look.

Of course I have to show Mr. Yang that I got surprised. I really hope he buys it.

"Aish!

Ahhh, the water is cold! Why did you do that?!"

Mr. Yang looks at me and disappointedly says, "I thought you were going to dodge that… Agent 55."

.

.

.

WHAT?!

Did he just call me Agent 55?!

My codename?!

First he mentioned my moniker, and now my codename!

And all that acting for nothing! Nothing!

"You can stop pretending now, Agent 55."

"Stop calling me Agent 55!"

I get my handkerchief from my pocket and wipe my face as Mr. Yang sits back to his chair.

"You acted as though you are just an ordinary teacher."

My face is almost dry so I want to confront him with a medium voice, "How do you know my codename?! Who are you?"

"What do you think?"

What do I think?

"I don't have a clue. Then speaking which, can you give me one?"

Mr. Yang replies, "Hmm, okay. I was a client behind one of your assassinations."

So he was my client? I guess that makes sense that he knows my identity as a former assassin.

But I don't remember having a client named Yang Ilsuk.

Wait a second!

I've been here in Korea just once where one of my hits took place: to take down Hong Shinsoo.

According to the information my former handler, Maris, provided, the name of the client of that hit was Y.K.

Mr. Yang is Korean.

The initials.

Y is his last initial and K is the end letter of his first name.

Mr. Yang is Y.K. That makes sense, right?

"You're the one who wanted me to assassinate Hong Shinsoo.

You're Y.K."

After hearing my answer, Mr. Yang replies, "That was some flawless hit, Blood Moon."

I cover my mouth with my hand and expand the size of my eyes as I am in shock.

With my mouth covered, I'm still able to react, "Oh my gosh!"

Mr. Yang just laughs it off.

"So how have you been since that time?"

"Can you not say something like that here?!"

"Okay, okay, okay.

How about samgyeopsal later? I'll pay."

I have a lot of questions I want to ask Mr. Yang, so I might as well accept his proposition.

I never thought things would end like this. What a day this is for me.

.

.

I'm inside the faculty room, sitting on my desk in a tired position.

Yoonwoo suddenly comes over and immediately speaks, "Ya, how's your first day?"

Given the fact that my conversation with Mr. Yang earlier happened, I feel like I'm gonna give Yoonwoo an unclear answer.

But he once told me that I would do well here given my personality and charm, so I'll still give him an answer regardless.

"You're right, Yoonwoo. I might be able to pull things off this year with my personality and charm.

The students are loving me with my looks so that's a given, but you know me, Yoonwoo. I want them to succeed. And I'll do everything I can for them to advance."

"Well, looks aside, they actually think you're a very good teacher. Not rushing at all, handing them every help they need, stuff like that."

"That's really nice of them."

"But I've heard from Freshmen Class D that you were out-of-ordinary."

Ah, yes. Earlier, someone from 10D attempted to pull a prank on me.

The prank was to get me drenched in water from above. It was planned but no avail.

I went past through the door when a basin of water turned 180 degrees while falling. I anticipated it with a left elbow hit. That resulted in one of the students getting hit by the basin still with water on it. That male student was recording so he was my target.

I tell Yoonwoo, "What the hell? How was that out-of-ordinary? I just countered the basin."

Yoonwoo answers, "I'm not only referring to that, James. You used unconventional methods to keep them awake."

That's right. I used a balloon and a mini air horn to wake them up. They must be pretty annoyed until now.

"It was an afternoon class and I don't think you can avoid falling asleep even for a single day. But still, I have to keep them on track."

It's 8 PM now. I'm here at a samgyeopsal restaurant, waiting for Mr. Yang.

Mr. Yang told me earlier that he'd be busy at the campus. Well, he's the principal, so I let him be.

As I look from the window, I see Mr. Yang outside waving at me. I smile and wave back at him. As he's already inside the restaurant and sitting, we immediately order.

"Sorry for making you wait for too long," Mr. Yang apologizes.

I reply, "You're the principal, so yeah."

I'm thirsty for answers from him so I finally start the conversation.

"So, can I start interrogating you now?"

"Sure, take it away."

"How did you know about---"

Mr. Yang suddenly interrupts my question while looking outside."What's happening?"

"What?" I also want to see what's happening.

I see an old man and woman running away from four men in black.

"What the hell's happening?!"

Mr. Yang casually answers, "Probably some protection racket. It's prominent here in Korea."

After listening to his answer, I immediately get out of my seat and run towards the restaurant door.

Mr. Yang, to his surprise, immediately stands up from his seat and calls me out, "Mr. Lee?! Ya! I haven't had dinner yet!"
