MEETING THE MASTER

Diamond and Nova were blindfolded immediately when they got into the car. Diamond wasn't scared for herself, she was scared for her little brother who was the most innocent person in the car.

He didn't get the chance to enjoy their parents and now they're being kidnapped by their parents' murderer. She swore there and then to always protect little Nova even if it will cost her the last breath of her life. She believed her parents would want her to take care of him and this she would do at all cost.

While still in her chain of thoughts, she didn't know when they got to their destination. She was really tired, it was a long journey and meant that she was far from home.

" We are here, get ready to alight." She heard a male voice say and her hands were held.

'Finally the blindfold would be removed' she thought to herself but to her dismay, it wasn't so. She felt herself being led to a place but couldn't tell where it was.

She felt pain on her hands immediately as she was pushed to the floor. She felt that she had scraped her hand on the floor .

She felt that she was being pushed into a room. She was separated from her brother against her will and was pushed into a room where she was chained to a chair. Did they think she would try to escape? Not when Nova was here. Never would she leave her last surviving family here. She was beginning to panic but somehow calmed herself with some poems she was singing.

Thoughts of escaping came to her mind. Even if she wanted to escape, she needed a plan to succeed because those guys looked like they were well trained and a little weak girl like her wouldn't be able to escape them without their knowledge. No,not even an adult would find it easy to escape these men. Now she regrets why she hadn't taken the martial arts class.

She didn't know how many hours she had stayed there in absolute darkness before she heard footsteps. She had dozed off occasionally in that weird and painful position. Her body ached so bad that she needed a full body massage. And not for a short hour but a couple of days full body massage.

This made her remember her father.Any slight complaint of body pain or ache from her, her father was willing, able and ready to be a masseur at her service. He was always at her beck and call at every of her whims. Her mother was jealous of the relationship between her and her father. He was and always will be her superman and she will always be his little angel.

This brought tears to her eyes which she let flow freely but because of the blindfold could not run down her cheeks which had turned rosy.

Finally the blind fold was removed from her eyes. Her eyes were now red and teary. It took her a couple of seconds to adjust to the brightness of the room. Standing before her was a tall black man.He was lean but looking healthy. He was good looking at a fault she could tell.

She couldn't see his face because of the mask he was putting on but his body build makes her think he would be a very handsome young man and she was looking forward to seeing him without the mask but she doubts she would ever get the chance to. It seemed to her that every single being in this place was fond of putting on a mask.

" Boss, this is the daughter of Mr. Frederick. We found her with her little brother trying to escape and decided to bring her here '' one of the men said. Deep down even if she didn't see the face of the said boss, she had seen him. She had marked his voice.

" Little girl, what's your name?" the said boss asked but Diamond refused to answer. She was more interested in checking out the nature of the injury she had sustained when she was pushed down at first. It was a scratch but it hurts, more like pepper being added to an injury but she wasn't going to show it.

" Defiant huh?" He said smirking but still she wouldn't answer. He decided to leave her there. As soon as he left, the rest followed suit.

" Who brought her here?" Boss asked.

"We did" One of the men said and all who were assigned the mission knelt down.

" Who injured her?" Boss asked again.

" Sorry Boss, it's a mistake. she fell down when we pushed her, you can punish us, we were careless and didn't treat her well and failed to keep the rules of not hurting useful victims" another guy said shivering out of fear. Boss was a cruel man, he could kill you for the slightest mistake.

They all knew they had defaulted the rules and were awaiting their punishment but were surprised when the boss waved his hand and signaled them to rise up.

" I should be praising you for a job well done, even when I didn't tell you to bring back the girl alive you did,I would go back and think of a reward for you , you've all made me proud, so there would be no punishment" Boss said again.

The group were surprised at Boss' words. Boss never forgives an offender. They are rules and punishment but they were grateful they had escaped today.

The boss asked for food to be given to Diamond and left but she refused to eat, not sure if Nova had eaten.

' what's the use of eating when we may still be killed. Who knows if this is a way to kill me, poison the food. Their bad, I won't die easily' she thought to herself.

Boss finally decided to recruit Diamond as one of his members. She had a powerful aura. He would train her as an assassin. She would kill people for him and in turn he would take care of her.
