BREATHLESS

What's life ever been about from the very beginning to it's very salient end, what's the meaning of everything there was before my eyes? A sunrise? A sunset, life, death and Immortality all around me and everywhere.

The thoughts of mine impure, my heart doubtful, the people that I knew dubious, how many of those did I ever love, cherish and care about all the same?

It had never been new to me, a memory, a dream or perhaps the very last thing that I could remember ever happened to me.

The sound of swords clashing had totally filled the air and the stench of blood was as strong as the oxygen that I breathed everyday, I could hear the water gushing down so violently a river and a waterfall must have been nearby and I could hear noises, words, a thousand and more with human cries of both women and children.

Endlessly, while heads arms and legs flew back and forth and the loudest noises and screams vibrated from the people's cords in sync with the mighty roar of the waves there were.

I was suffering a very great fall, mighty from a height and certainly a cliff it had long made me one with the wind and the skies, without any hint of freedom, I was confined in the air, one foot into the grave I was certain there for me wasn't any return to a more humane world.

Crushing down weak and unable to move, the only weight on my hands was my own blood as my sweat had mingled with my tears, there was so much pain and agony and heartache all blended together as one my misery was complete that I could certainly feel.

Alas, a loud splash and it sent me sinking deeper and deeper without even a single straw to clutch at or an arm that I could lean on to pull me out, while the bubbles started to escape from my mouth and nostrils my vision too was blurry, the noises had died down and all that I could feel was a calm and myself painless.

Right above my head, my long pitch black hair spread to all directions and the tides danced right above me as a waning light beyond the surface was the last thing that I beheld before it's very strands blocked out it's view from reaching my eyes.

The seaweed entangled itself around my arms and legs to pull me lower into the overwhelming darkness where not even the sound of breathing could be heard I was certain life was out of my reach as it slowly sipped out of me.

It was still the bubbles that rushed out of my mouth and nostrils when I tried to scream but my voice ended up locked in as the water seemed to make it's way into my vocal cords and replace every last bit of air in my lungs as I drowned into oblivion not even breaking free no matter how hard I had tried.

"No, I don't want to die like this so please stay alive." I told myself, as slowly, my eyes starting to close I was more than certain that was my ill fated end for death had taken me for its final compeer and the last of a warrior that loved, that fought, that defended, that struck the drums of thunder was free, free of the perverse, the ugly, horrid world we called ours still wondering though how so was the spirit of someone like him what the grim reaper cherished for a dear possesion.
