Chapter One

Location China - 10:30 pm

District - South End

Its was a nearing December time in the mainland. The news said it would be around 2°C or lower but not many people cared, as the city night in city X was as lively as ever.

In an empty alleyway, a figure decked out in black apparel walked slowly while smoking a cheap 5 RMB cigarette. Just as he was about to turn a corner he stopped for a second before sighing.

He took a coin out of his left pocket before flicking it at speeds not visible to the naked eye stright to a mesh wire that was holding onto hundreds of rusty bars in mid-air.

Once the coin hit the wire it cut a quarter of it weakening its structural integrity.

???" That should take care of them." With that said the smoker continued on his way. No one knowing except him that he had saved the lives of many future innocent.

After walking for about 30 minutes he finally got home to his small but comfortable 110 sqft apartment. Located near the poorer district in city X.

After taking off his shoes, jacket, hoodie and mask were finally able to see his face. He had spiky long black hair that reaches to his shoulders. Aquamarine eyes with slit-like irises. And a ripped scared body that could be said to be perfect from definition to attractiveness. Of course, they weren't just for show.

After taking off his clothes he took a quick shower and boiled some water to eat some cheap 3 Rmb super noodles.

After the noodles were ready he went and laid on his bed with his surprisingly expensive-looking laptop.

While he waited for the laptop to turn on he took a bite of his super noodles.

???" Ahhh, damn these noodles are really good. I need to buy another box from old Joe tomorrow. Hopefully, he hasn't sold out."

Once the laptop was fully running he entered a 20 digit password and logged into his league of legends account.

(Ring ring)

Just as he had logged on he received a call from someone named Anime69. When looking at the caller he could only chuckle while remembering his silly friend. Once he accepted the call a loud voice comes from the other end.

???" SHUN, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN. I've been trying to call you all day but you haven't been answering.

Shun" Sigh, Lower your voice man. And sorry about that my phone lost battery after my shift ended. So what's the big fuss all about Wei." Shun said while again slurping on his noodles.

Wei" Did you forget that tomorrow is the official launch of the latest and best virtual reality game."

Shun" Oh ye, so it is. What's it called again." He said Not really interested.

Wei" Its Redemption. So try to be A little bit more excited ok. Do you know how significant this is? This isn't just your ordinary virtual reality game. It's the very first virtual reality game where you can actually cultivate.

Spear arts, swordsmanship, breathing skils, Saint cultivation arts. They put in things that even the government and association don't have. And anyone one can get a piece of the action if they're lucky enough."

Shun" Really omg, we need to get that right now." He said in an excited tone.

Wei" shun I know when you're being sarcastic."

Shun" Was I that obvious. Oh, and how did the exams go. Did you pass." He said already back in his natural voice. While slurping his noodles.

Wei" Sigh, not this time, but definitely next time. Anyway, there's also bigger news. Apparently, all twenty fairys and kings will be playing."

Now, this caught shuns attention. The 20 fairies and kings are a group of individuals that are basically perfect and the best the country has to offer. 20 women and 20 boys. Whether it be cultivation, business or the arts.

They are the peak of the younger generation. Tho they had very high social standings. Most if not all of those fairies and kings are Unkown. Those that are known are basically praised as young gods and goddesses.

Shun" Are you sure. You're not trying to pull my leg."

Wei" 100% true. My sources are always true, you know that better than anyone."

Shun" Mhh, alright. I've decided."

Wei" Does that mean."

Shun" Yeye I'll join you in this stupid game."

Wei" He'll yeah. You'll definitely won't regret this brother shun. I need to tell the other bro's that you'll be joining us. See you tomorrow. And don't be late, or miss Na, won't let you off this time."

Shun" Yeye, now sho, so I can start farming."

After ending the call shun played for 3 hours before heading to bed.

The next morning, while shun was still sleeping a loud ringing, woke him up. It was none other than his alarm clock.

He sighed before getting out of bed. Just like every other school day. He gets out of bed, gets cleaned up, eats a quick breakfast and watches the news for 30 minutes before heading to school.

News reporter" It appears that around 11 o'clock yesterday night a local drunk gang tried to sexually assault an underage teen.

Luckily for the girl and unluckily for the gang as they were about to chase after the frightened teen, hundreds of metal bars fell from the sky impaling and killing all of the assailants. Investigation shows that..."

Shun who looked at the time didn't care for what the reporter had to say as he packed up his things, and left for school.

Shun" Sigh another boring day I'm just going to sleep through. At least there are two things that get me through it."

Martial saint academy. An academy that focused not only on study but most importantly martial arts or saint cultivation.

Tho the academy wasn't the top when it came to prowess and popularity, they were definitely not at the bottom.
