Chapter 45

Well, the uniform already pretty much told you she was a student of the academy. You took your eyes off of her thighs and eyed the little skull wearing ground type. You didn't know much about Cubone, only the basics, but you can already tell this one is bigger and stronger looking than the average members of its species.

"You've raised it well." you praised

Giselle stood up and beamed at you, "Thank you!" she replied, "I might have been going about things wrongly, but it doesn't change the fact that I still put everything I could into raising my pokemon."

Honestly so far, you can't see anything done wrongly, "What do you mean?" you asked.

Giselle sighed a bit embarrassedly, "Well I fell for the dogma of Poketech and my parents praise, and ended up getting really arrogant just because I was the top of the beginner class and getting ready to move up," the brown haired student explained, a melancholy expression appearing on her face, "It wasn't until I met a couple of passing trainers a few days back and got completely destroyed in a battle when I assumed I was so much better than the one I battled, that I realized I had been taking the academy's teaching as the gospel."

"Well you seem to be doing alright now at least," you tried to cheer her up, your eyes went down her legs, landing on her white knee socks. White knee socks scuffed with dirt marks, "You look like you're working hard to make up for it, and that says a lot of good things about you.

Giselle lost her melancholic look and smiled, "You know what?" she said, "You're absolutely right!"

"Damn right!" you chuckled, flashing her a cheesy thumbs up, drawing a giggle from her. "So you're a student here right?" you asked, nudging your head towards the academy's direction.

"I am." Giselle continued to smile as she responded.

"Feel like giving me a tour?" you asked, "I actually had the opportunity to come here on a scholarship but decided not to."

"I'd be delighted to." Giselle replied, walking to your side and holding her elbow out, "Shall we?"

You had to admit, if there was anything to regret about not coming to Poketech Academy when you had the chance. It was nothing to do with their actual teaching ability.

But the place was amazing. Dorm rooms that could pass as five star hotel rooms. High tech training rooms and electronic pokemon battling and raising simulators.

Multiple swimming pools, recreational rooms for relaxation. Cafeterias that serve amazing food, massive libraries with all kinds of information on pokemon, even those native to others regions that were very hard to come by with the borders closed off.

And last, but certainly not least, all the beautiful, rich girls in tight corset uniforms and oh so very short skirts. You definitely would have been looked down here if you came, at least until you showed your sheer superiority to everyone, but it would have been worth it.

Not that you regret it at all. If you did come here, odds are you wouldn't have any of your current pokemon. And you wouldn't trade them for the fucking world.

"So," you spoke up as Giselle led you through one of the large, spacious hallways of the academy, the tiled flooring practically gleaming, "What made you decide to become a ground specialist?"

"Hmm?" Giselle turned to you, from looking out at a bunch of people battling out on one of the training fields from a window you both just passed by, "Oh. It was because I met the Viridian City Gym Leader, he's a close friend of my fathers. He told me that with my talent, once I graduated he could take me on as a gym apprentice and he'd have a position for me."

...You bet there were a lot of positions a man wanted her in. You quickly banished that thought as it came. Giovanni probably wasn't the type of man that had to perv on a teenage girl, no matter how hot.

After all, Giovanni was the strongest Gym Leader of Kanto, by far. Heads and shoulders above even Blaine, who used to be part of the Kanto Elite Four over a decade ago. It was said, that even with this new generation of Elite Four, possibly the strongest in Kanto's history, that Giovanni could give them a run for their money.

You whistled, "Man, getting personal training from Giovanni himself as one of his gym trainers huh?" you mused, impressed. And you really were. That was probably just as good as becoming Professor Oak's full time apprentice, and you never actually were that.

"Right?" Giselle beamed, obviously agreeing with where your thoughts were headed, "Giovanni is the strongest gym leader in the entire region, and even won the Indigo Conference once!" she gushed.

Yeah, you know about that. What was weird about it, was that Giovanni never pursued his option to challenge the Elite Four and then Champion if he got passed them. The main prize awarded to the winner of the Indigo Conference, the chance to become the Champion.

Well, maybe he just didn't think he was tough enough to win? You couldn't blame anyone that cut their losses early on taking on those absolute monsters. There used to be a literal army of pirates that savaged the Sevii Islands a few years back. Hundreds of them with thousands of pokemon at their beck and call.

Lorelei crushed them all alone. With a mere team of six pokemon. It was said that she froze the ocean for miles around to stop them in their tracks when they tried to flee on their ships.

"So where'd you wanna check out next?" Giselle asked, dragging you from your thoughts on the sheer insane power of the Elite Four, "We could go out and let you get a look at the class out training right now, or other than that, the only other place I haven't shown you is the roof where people go to relax and interact with wild pokemon."

..Wild pokemon on the roof? huh. That's a new one, even for you.
