Lin Meiyin
On the way back to the Buddha Benevolent Sect, Lian Chen was lost in thoughts as he was figuring out how to deal with the Jade Stone that he had just bought.
What Lian Chen didn't expect is that while on his way back to the Buddha Benevolent Sect, his path will unexpectedly cross with a young girl around 5 years old.
In an instance of inattentiveness, Lian Chen accidentally bumped into the young girl, causing her to lose her balance and tumble to the ground.
"Watch where you're...!" Lian Chen began to utter, but his words trailed off as he realized that instead of colliding with an adult, he had actually bumped into a young girl.
To add to the situation, the young girl's eyes were already brimming with tears, giving the impression that she was on the verge of crying.
Overwhelmed by a sense of guilt, Lian Chen quickly apologized, his voice filled with genuine remorse.
"I'm so sorry, little one. I didn't see you there." Lian Chen expressed sincerely, reaching out to help the little girl up.
"You... You... Apologize to me again!" The little girl said in an endearing manner, her voice tinged with both sadness and cuteness.
Upon witnessing this, Lian Chen couldn't help but laugh, finding the little girl incredibly adorable.
"Alright, I apologize. Are you happy now?" Lian Chen smiled and chuckled upon hearing her reply.
"Hmph, since you're apologizing so sincerely, I'll accept it," the little girl said in an adorable manner, before getting up from the ground.
As she rose to her feet, the little girl glanced at Lian Chen, taking in his handsome and youthful appearance, and noticing the coolness in his eyes.
"You.. You will be my papa!" The little girl said and hung onto Lian Chen's arm.
"Wh- Wh- What?!" Lian Chen exclaimed in shock and he almost fell down to the ground from the shock.
"Hey, you can't just call anyone 'papa' so casually, little girl!" Lian Chen scolded her, trying to correct her misunderstanding.
"I- I am not little anymore, and stop calling me a little girl! I have a name called Lin Meiyin!" Lin Meiyin cutely said and folded her arms.
"See, you're handsome and have such a cool look!" You meet all the criteria my mom has for finding a guy!" Lin Meiyin exclaimed, emphasizing her admiration for Lian Chen's appearance.
Just as Lian Chen was about to answer Lin Meiyin, he heard a familiar voice coming towards them.
"Yin'er, Yin'er, where did you run off to?" As the silhouette emerged, Lian Chen saw that it was actually Lin Chuxuan, or specifically, Elder Lin.
"What's going on here?!" Lin Chuxuan questioned both Lin Meiyin and Lian Chen.
As Lian Chen was about to answer, Lin Meiyin ran up to her mom and told her.
"Mama, mama. I found a daddy to take care of us!" Lin Meiyin joyfully exclaimed, expressing her excitement about the prospect.
Upon hearing her daughter's words, Lin Chuxuan's cheeks instantly turned a shade of crimson, her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Do not anyhow say this kind of stuff!" Lin Chuxuan said to her daughter and apologized to Lian Chen.
"Lian Chen, I am sorry for my daughter's actions." Lin Chuxuan said apologetically.
"No worries, it's fine." Lian Chen chuckled and smiled towards Lin Meiyin.
"I hope that whatever happens here today, you won't say anything about it alright?" Lin Chuxuan said to Lian Chen and held Lin meiyin.
"You have my promise, elder Lin." Lian Chen immediately clasped his fists together and respectfully bowed.
"Okay, focus on your training in the sect and take care of yourself. Let's go home, Yin'er," Lin Chuxuan said as she gently pulled Lin Meiyin away.
"Goodbye, handsome and cool papa! See you soon!" Lin Meiyin giggled cutely and waved goodbye to Lian Chen.
Lian Chen couldn't quite tell if Lin Chuxuan was in a hurry or feeling embarrassed, but after Lin Meiyin's words, her pace quickened."
"What a day huh?" Lian Chen thought about today and saw that the sun was setting, making his way back to the sect.
