It was Sunday. Dara stayed in her room. She didn't felt like talking to anyone. She missed her grandfather so much. She couldn't stop thinking about the time she had spent with him. Dara went to the kitchen to grab some water.
"Dara darling, you've been in your room the whole morning. Are you okay sweetie?" Ellen uttered.
"I don't feel good mom." Dara sighed.
"I know how you feel. I can see that. Dear we all are deeply gloomed at what happened but we still got our lives to live, right?"
"You're right mother."
"So, what are you planning to do today?"
"I have to finish my homework. Some of my books are at school. I've to go grab them but first I'll go to Granddad's grave. I feel like talking to him right now."
"Sure sweetheart but first have something to eat."
"I'm not really hungry."
"Don't you want to have some pancakes?" Ellen smiled.
"Okay but I'll only take one." Dara agreed because she didn't wanted to make her mother worry because of her.
"I know you'll eat a lot and guess what, we'll order pizza at night."
Dara hugged her mother and cried, "Thanks Mom. Thank you for trying to make me comfortable in this horrible situation."
"You know I and your Dad are always there for you and we would do anything to see a smile on your face." Ellen kissed Dara's forehead.
After having some pancakes, Dara went to her school. She had to grab some books for her homework which she had left at school. She opened her cabinet and got the books. She suddenly had a thought to check Charles cabinet. Charles was a mysterious lad and Dara wanted to know about him. She went to his cabinet and when she was about to open it, she thought, "This isn't right." She opened it anyways.
There was nothing in the cabinet except for Dara's pictures. There were photos of Wade and Dara when they were little. There were all those things which Dara had thrown in trash that belonged to Wade. There was her diary and that bronze mirror too. There was another mirror exactly like that which belonged to Wade. In their childhood, Wade gifted one mirror to Dara and kept a same mirror like that with him.
Dara got a shock to see all that stuff. She was stuck to the ground. Her legs weighed a thousand pounds. "Charles is Wade!" she exclaimed as tears poured out from her eyes. She quickly wiped them off and put everything in her bag.
On her way to the graveyard she kept on thinking about how foolish she was for not realizing him. "He was so close to me all that time. How could I not realize him?" she reached the graveyard. She sat beside her grandfather's grave and cried. She cried endlessly. "I hope I be the girl who you wanted me to be." she cried.
After sometime she thought to head back home. She put some flowers on her Grandfather's grave and walked out from the graveyard. As she walked back home, she thought, "I have to find Wade. I don't even have my phone with me right now." She thought to go back home and call Wade and ask him to come to her room.
As soon as she arrived, she rushed to her room and picked up her phone. She called Wade many times but he didn't answer. "I know where I can find him." she uttered.
"Honey, are you going somewhere?" Ellen asked Dara when she saw her going towards the front door.
"Mom I've to meet a friend."
"Okay but make sure to come back home before sunset."
"I sure will. Love you! Bye!" Dara went out.
She walked and just in some minutes, she reached that place. She reached the place where there was a giant stone, the place where she and Wade used to spend most of the time in their childhood. She saw him standing there. He was turning the other side. Dara could see his back.
He was singing, "Like the river flows…surely to the sea…darling so it goes…something's are meant to be!"
Dara sang from behind, "Take my hand, take my whole life too…"
Wade turned around and sang along with her, "O for I can't help falling in love with you!"
Dara ran and hugged him. She started to cry.
"Dara what happened?" Wade asked, "Why're you crying?"
"I don't know. I just don't feel good." Dara didn't want to tell Wade now that she knows he's Wade not Charles.
"Hey look at me…" Wade held his cheeks from his hands and uttered, "There's nothing to worry about Dara. You know you can tell me anything."
Dara got out of hold and moved back from him. She wiped off her tears and said, "I need some help with my homework. Will you be able to come to my home and help me with that?"
"Sure Dara. Let's go."
They both started to walk. Both of them remained quiet along the way. They reached Garland's house soon. Dara took Wade inside through the front door.
"Mom do you remember him?" Dara took him to her mother.
"Hmmm…let me guess. This must be Wade, right?" Ellen replied.
"No ma'am I'm…"
"Yes Mom! This is Wade." Dara interrupted.
Wade stood still looking at Dara.
"Wade…" Ellen spoke, "It's really nice to meet you after so many years. You don't know how much Dara missed you when she was back there in the city. I'm glad you both are together again."
"Than…thank you!" Wade was confused.
"Mom we've got a lot of work to do so it'll be late until we finish." Dara told to her mother.
"No worries sweetie. Take your time. I'll order pizza for you both."
"Thank you Mom." Dara hugged her mother. She held Wade's hand and took him to her room.
"What was that all about?" Wade exclaimed as soon as they both went in the room.
Dara said nothing and sat on her bed.
"Dara I'm asking you!" he exclaimed.
Dara looked up at him. Her eyes were filled with tears. Wade sat beside him and held her from her shoulders, "What is it Dara?"
"Wade, stop lying to me." Dara cried.
"What are you even talking about?"
Dara picked up her bag and opened it. She took out all those things related to her and Wade from the bag. "You've got any explanation?" she sighed. Wade kept quiet. "Why would you do that to me?" Dara cried.
"Dara…" Wade hugged her while she cried.
"I've always loved you Wade. I've always been waiting for you but I thought I had lost you." she cried.
"I love you too cookie!" Wade uttered.
"Liar!" Dara pushed him.
"Dara I never wanted you to know the other side of me."
"What do you mean?"
"I wish I could make you understand."
Dara went close to him and held her hands to his mask. He held her hands. Dara looked into his eyes and uttered, "I don't care what you are. All I know is that I love you!"
Wade loosened his hands and Dara pulled off his mask. She could see his beautiful face. Golden eyes and peach lips. "How could I not know it was you. You were so close yet so far." Dara softly spoke.
"You were never far Dara. You've always been in my heart."
"I wish I had never dated William." she sighed.
"That's not your fault Dara. Being honest, I wanted you to date him. I wanted you to forget me. I never want you to get hurt because of me."
"Oh Wade…" she held his neck tighter, "I love you! The safest place for me is to be in your arms."
She leaned to kiss him. He kissed her back. She could feel his long pointed teeth touching her teeth and tongue. They kissed deep. Their lips were hooked to each other and tongues rolling around one another.
They were kissing when Ellen suddenly entered Dara's room and they both pushed back.
"Here's your pizza young people." Ellen entered. She didn't saw them both kissing.
"Thank you Mom! You're the best." Dara took the pizza from her mother's hands and Wade took the coke.
"Thank you Mrs. Greg!" Wade thanked Ellen.
"Enjoy your food and study hard." Ellen said while going out from the room.
Dara quickly locked the room and turned to Wade. "I sure will study hard if he lets me to study." she walked towards him and smiled.
Wade sat on the bed and put Dara on his lap, "I will let you study me."
Dara leaned closer to him, "I will love to read you."
They kissed. Wade lay back down on the bed while kissing and Dara was on top of him. They stopped kissing. Dara sat on top of Wade while Wade was laying on the bed. she picked up the pizza box and opened it.
"Ummmm…" she smelled it and uttered, "It smells delicious."
"Not delicious than you." Wade winked at her.
"Are you going to eat me now? You monster!" Dara smiled at him while taking out a slice of pizza.
"I'm not the only monster here." he chuckled, "You aren't a human too."
"But I at least look like one." she laughed, "You look like a zombie."
"Yeah! Wait until I suck blood out of you." Wade held her tight.
"And you wait until I eat that juicy meat out of you." she held him tighter.
"I suppose we should be eating the pizza." Wade held a slice up to their faces.
Both of them ate the pizza. It was yummy. They laughed and talked. They talked about their lives when they weren't together. They both could have never been happier.
They both laid into each other's arms in the bed. They were having a wonderful time. Ellen knocked at the door. Dara opened it.
"It's time for you to go now son." Ellen told, "Well you can come visit Dara anytime but right now it's getting a bit late."
"No worries Mrs. Garland." Wade spoke. "We have just finished with our homework." he winked at Dara.
"Goodbye Wade." Dara hugged him.
"Goodbyes aren't made for us love." he whispered in Dara's ears while hugging. He got Dara out of hold and turned to Ellen, "Good night Mrs. Garland."
"Good night son." Ellen smiled at him.
