As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. Fair And Square

"And that's where you are wrong," sneered Amanda, her face twisting with rage. "I am not a dyke. I was always meant to be the Luna of Silverblood pack."

"Maybe," I agreed with a nod of my head. "And if Raphael never found his mate, he would have taken you as Luna simply because you were the strongest female in the pack. But I don't see him taking you to bed. Or caring who you took into yours."

I looked up at Raphael, wondering if he would agree with my statement. He looked down at me and scoffed. "It had never occurred to me to take her into my bed, even if she was my Luna. I remembered how things were between my mother and father, and I wouldn't accept anything less than that."

"See," I continued with a shrug. "And there is nothing wrong with loving Jenny. She is the one who fate decreed was perfect for you. I would be heartbroken if any of my mates were that dismissive of me."
