As Satoru Gojo in the DC Universe

'Strange' is a term that can be defined in a number of ways. Though waking up as Satoru Gojo in a messed up world was certainly strange. Now follow the new Gojo on his path to becoming the strongest. Will he reach said goal, or merely die a meaningless death. Or maybe he will ascend as the honoured one.

I'm a bodyguard or hitman, not a gigolo

Hate, malice, sadness, anger and grief. It's odd, I'm not experiencing any of those emotions yet I feel them. It's kinda irksome, this Cursed Energy. But that's fine, I don't care how ominous Curse Energy is. I'm building a foundation off of it, I'll grow stronger with it. If I understand Cursed Energy at its core then I can awaken. I can experience a broader world of Cursed Energy.

But understanding it is such a pain. I heaved a sigh as I placed my glasses back on my face. The slight stinging that assaulted my eye's quickly dying down.

I stared at my left arm that slightly flared with Cursed Energy before it too dyed down. For the past hour or so I've just been screwing around with my Cursed Energy, of which I had an absurd amount of. It was easy as ever to control, shape and whatnot. It would probably be easy to infuse other objects with Cursed Energy, but I'm probably not gonna be using a weapon anytime soon.

But I've wasted enough time, might as well check on 'that'. 'That' would be my money maker. You see I happen to have a laptop, lucky I know.

I felt that it would be too clichè to immediately turn to a life of crime for some cash. So I've established my own business, so to speak. A bodyguarding business, I just made my own website and listed my service's. Now I know what you're thinking...

"Sasuga! Gojo-sama!"

"Impressive Gojo-sama!"

Yes praise me more imaginary voices. Anyway Gotham is a crappy city and there should be no shortage of people who want a guard, sure some may be sceptical. But for now I need one person, then I'll have them spread the good word and then the moolah. Brilliantly simple.

So retrieving my laptop, I sat with it on the bed as I was plenty surprised when I had more than a few notifications from that website. Oh? People were already requesting my services? That's surprising, I thought it would take much longer. Eh, I'll take the good luck.

Though this is odd, basic information on potential client's are given. And every request seemed to be from a women, eh. Coincidences can be freaky, I guess.

But time to get to work.

Now that I think about I probably shouldn't have posted a picture of myself when creating that website. I had a face sculpted by the Gods after all. And most who used that website seemed to think my services meant something else entirely. I don't think I need to spell it out.

Honestly that's my fault for exposing my oh so beautiful face. I should probably get a blindfold or something to avoid these kind of situations. But eh, most women just wasted my time when I showed up. This is the last person I'm gonna be visiting, if they have an actual job for me then hooray. If not then, well I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

The neighbourhood was decent, well decent as neighbourhoods in Gotham can be. It was the usual row of houses with a road sandwiched between them. The houses themselves seemed to be in decent shape too, well only decent.

"This should be the place." I mutterd to myself as I stared at the single story house. Other then it being painted blue, the only other thing that stood out was the large yard to the side of the house. So knocking on the door loudly I patiently waited. A few seconds went by as I heard some shuffling behind the door before it opened revealing a middle-aged women.

She had clear and pale skin, with well-defined features being prominent in her face like her high cheekbones and a sharp jawline. Furthermore she had long black hair with luscious locks. She wore a simple bright flower blouse along with a skirt. She looked at me with slight confusion before said confusion turned into realization.

Though realization soon turned into her admiring my face for a tad too long. So loudly clearing my throat I snapped her out of her daze as her face slightly flushed upon noticing how long she was staring at me.

"S-sorry. You're the one from the website, right?"

"Yep! That's me, I can be your personal bodyguard or just a hitman. Of course I won't kill anyone, you just need to point me in the direction of who's ass you want kicked." Quickly I advertised my services, my only services. If this is just another thirsty chick then I'm outta here first thing.

"I see, the problem I need help with is a bit delicate." She started in a serious tone. "Though I'm still willing to pay a negotiable price." She stepped away from the doorframe and gestured for me to come inside.

Ah? This some elaborate ruze to get in my pants? For her shake I hope not.

So stepping inside she closed the door and led the way to what looked like the living room. There was a coffee table in the centre with three couches circling it.

"Please take a seat." Complying I sat on one as she took a seat opposite of me. "Would you like anything to drink? Coffee or maybe tea?"

"Nah, let's just get down to business."

"Right..." For a moment she seemed hesitant to speak, but she quickly resolved herself as she spoke again. "It concerns my husband. It's just that he's been coming home late recently..." Her voice trailed off as I heaved a sigh.

"Look lady, bodyguard or hitman. Not marriage councillor."

"No, no. It's nothing like that, Percy isn't the type to cheat, even if he didn't care about me there's still our little Lily.." She quickly denied, I assumed Lily was the daughter. But doesn't seem like she's here. "I'm just worried he's gotten mixed up with the wrong kinds of people." I merely rose an eyebrow at her word's as I gestured for her to continue.

"It started about a month ago. Percy just suddenly started buying me all kinds of gifts, though we're financially stable, the thing's he brought me were well out of our price range. And then there's Lily, I love seeing my daughter happy. But she's quite the spoiled little princess." She spoke with a chuckle as she continued. "He brought her everything from sweets to expensive toys with money I don't know how he got."

"Gambling maybe? Or something else?" She nodded at my word's.

"I thought so too but I never had the change to confirm. He merely always told me not to worry and that the money was clean." She pursed her lips as she continued. "Of course I knew better, but recently as I mentioned he's been coming home late. I even spotted a few bruises."

"I see, you think he's gotten involved with some unsavoury people." She nodded again.

"Yes, I know your services don't enentailnvestigations. But as I said before I'm willing to pay."

I pondered it for a second. I'm assuming she wants me to trail the guy for her so I can see what he's up to. Though odd she's just unloading like this, guess most Gotham citizens don't have much to lose.

Though the job shouldn't be too difficult given my recent uses of my techniques.

"Sure I'll do the job." A smile tugged at her lips upon hearing my word's.

"Great. Percy leaves for work at around five in the morning. If you discover anything please let me know."

I nodded at her word's. Time to get to work.

At five in the morning sharp who I assumed was Percy excited the humble abode. He was an average man with short dark hair and eye's, wearing a full three piece suit along with that he had a suitcase clutched in his right hand. His posture was hunched and it was clear to see he was slightly limping. From my bird's eye view I watched him trudge along the sidewalk of the neighbourhood. Sally the wife and one who offerd the job did mention they lost their car sometime ago, or atleast Percy did.

I shrugged as I Ieisurley floated in the sky. Yep flying was that easy, of course there were some steps to it. By precisely controlling Cursed Eergy, I can lift myself off from the ground and maneuver smoothly in mid-air. My Limitless barrier isolates me from restrictive physical forces like gravity or friction. Of course only someone with Limitless could easily achieve this, you also needed an absurd amount of Cursed Energy. But that's neither here nor there.

There was no one to gawk at me so I guessed why not just fly? Of course this wasn't something I was going to keep up. So as I drifted closer to the ground as my feet touched upon the asphalt as I pocketed my hands and followed Percy at a safe distance.

Nothing out of the ordinary happend. Percy got on a bus, said bus took him to his work place. He seemed to be an accountant or something I didn't really care. I sighed as I watched him from the top of a building. I could clearly see his tired look as he tapped away at a computer at his desk, I continued watching him from the window of his work building.

And so hour's quickly flew by as I mostly occupied myself by messing around with my ability.

"Finally." I couldn't help but mutter as I finally saw him leaving the building, though I did take note of how agitated he seemed now.

I couldn't help but narrow my eye's behind my glasses as he merely stood near an alleyway with his right hand in his pocket and his left clutching onto his suitcase. His eye's darted around and around, this went on for about a minute until someone enterd the alley. Percy checked to see if anyone took note before he himself enterd.

Frowning from my vantage point I took off my glasses to get a better view. I merely ignored the stinging sensation as information flooded my mind.

My frown only deepened as Percy took out a pocket knife and threatened the lone women in the alley. She of course let out a shrill scream, though no one dared to butt in. After all why risk getting stabbed by playing hero? That's was probably most of the people's thought process. Though not like there was alot of people around.

Anyhow seeing as screaming got her nowhere she finally relented and shakingly gave him her money. He greedily took the bank notes before pushing past her and running out the other end of the alleyway. Walking over the edge of the building the air around me seemed to act as a floor as I made my way over to Percy's location.

Sally mentioned he brought her some expensive thing's. Is this how? Nah can't be, the average Gotham citizen won't be idiotic enough to carry that much cash with them. Even that women only had like 50 dollar's. If he kept this up for about a month, then sure he'd have some decent cash. But it was clear to see the man was fearful and agitated when robbing the women, ironic given that he had the only weapon.

Guess there's more to the tail. But still, robbing someone in broad daylight? Only in Gotham I guess.

Sighing I continued monitoring the man. His next stop was a bank where he withdrew more money...damn! That was about 20 000, in total with the 50 dollars he stole. Even the banker looked appalled by the amount.

Percy didn't bother with much word's as he stuffed all the money in his suitcase before briskly walking off.

His walk however came to a stop at a club? It looked relatively old, worn out paint on the wall's and a flickering neon sign. There wasn't much of a line and only a single bouncer who quickly let Percy on through.

Touching down onto the ground in a alley I quickly exited it as I made my way to the club. Using Blue I pulled a nearby trashcan to the single bouncer. The silver trashcan crashed against the large man as its contents spilled out. Being in slight dissary he did not notice me as I slipped on through. I was immediately struck by the intense music and flashing light's.

The walls of the place was adorned with vintage posters of what I assumed was some performers. The dance floor was compact and decorated with blinking lights. People wildly and crudely danced like there was no tomorrow.

The seating areas consisted of upholstered lounge chairs and sofas with an exposed framework. The tables had a glossy surface and with a metal base. The bar area had a long counter with a wooden base and a mirrored back wall with illuminated display shelves. There was just a single bartender who didn't seem too bothered by serving so many customers.

Barring that there was a small stage with an old-fashioned microphone on the stand. Though the only music blarred loudly from the speaker's, the place was also relatively full, contrary to what the exterior of the club would have you believe.

As I looked around the club, I received no shortage of hungry stares from immodestly dressed women. Some tried coming on to me but they were promptly ignored, it didn't take long for me to spot Percy though. The man made his way up a staircase which I assumed led to a VIP area. There was also a bouncer infont of the staircase, what a pain.

So clearing my throat I stood at the bouncers blind spot.

"HOLY SHIT WHAT'S THAT AT CORNER OF THE ROOF!" My word's were probably drowned out by the music to other's but he heard me clearly. His head snapped to side and upwards, grinning to myself I made my way on through and quickly up the staircase. Man, can't believe that worked.

Hmm, the VIP area is so different. Expensive looking.

The decor of the area was lavish and opulent, with plush seating, ornate lighting fixtures, and rich textures and fabrics. Even the furniture in the VIP section was made of high-quality materials like leather, velvet, or silk, and there was a few be small tables spread about with ottomans, and couches where a few people were lazing around on, drinking or just having sex.

The walls were adorned with a few art pieces to convey that this was a rich people's area, there was even a large-screen TVs showing some mundane music videos. The place even had its own bar.

I ignored all that and focused on quite the peculiar scene. I knew I would be seeing some weird stuff, but c'mon.

A dummy was holding a gun to Percy's head.
