Grayson blinks, getting his bearings before looking up to see a grinning Jude with both hands planted on Grayson's shoulders.

"Did I scare you?" Jude’s voice is low, but his eyes are set in a hard gaze.

"Jude? What the h*ll?"

"I could ask you the same thing. Why were you following me?" A flicker of frustration dances on his face.

Grayson looks down. "How long have you known?"

Jude shrugs, loosening his grip. "I told you I'd know your scent anywhere."

"So you were just…f*cking with me?"

"A little bit."

Grayson laughs grimly. "What a pair, the two of us. You said you had plans tonight, was that real?"

Jude lets Grayson go. "Not exactly. You obviously didn’t believe me, anyway.”

“No, and it looks like I was right to think you were full of sh*t.”

“Cute. You’re still avoiding the question.”

“So are you.”

The two look at each other, anger practically vibrating the air between them.

"Who wants to go first?" Grayson asks, his voice still oozing resentment.
