3 months had passed already and it felt like years without Alex. Loneliness and frustration was killing me. “Hello baby”. Alex voice echoed from the phone. “when are you coming”? I asked him. “Well I still have to wait for one month”. I shrugged. “Why didn’t you allow me to follow you”? “Baby” he sent flying kisses to me. We talked a lot over the phone.

Alex pov

Today is the day I return home to see my little kitten. I called her as usual to greet her. Let me play a small trick on her. “ Well I still have to wait for a month”. I could see the sadness on her face. We kept on discussing until I had to end the call. An hour left before I leave for my flight. I went to a museum to clear at my head. Thoughts flew in and out of my head. Not until I found a guy go down on his knees and propose to his girlfriend. It was beautiful and to my surprise she cried. That’s when the thought played into my head, why don’t I propose to Sam. I’ve fallen deeply in love with her. Her smile, how she acts so cutely, whenever I’m with her I seem to forget all about the things that worry me.

I went down to a jewellery shop and bought a ring, not to fancy, simple and unique but it was expensive. I went back to the hotel to arrange my luggage and departed for the airport. 30 mins I boarded into the plane and took off.

3hrs 30 mins

I arrived at the airport, called an Uber to carry me home. I got home but didn’t see anyone around. I just saw some of our maids and butlers with their luggage arriving aswell. “where are you guys coming from with your luggage”. One of the maids came forward. “ Madam sent us on holiday 2 days after you had just left”. I nodded my head in response as she took my luggage inside. I went inside as well and took a bottle of during from the fridge as the maids and butlers settled in and resumed back to their respective positions.

Sam’s pov

After going out for a brunch with some of mom’s friend and her as well. I received a message from one of the maids I’m close with.

The maid:

Good afternoon madam I appreciate the kind gesture you have to us. All maids and butlers have arrived safely and boss is around to.

Wait what Alex is around but he had told me he was coming next Mont. I said to myself. “Mom Alex is back”. “That’s good dear go and attend to him when I’m done I would go with my friends down to my house”. I left immediately to meet Alex.

Within the twinkle of an eye I arrived home. I ran towards our room and saw him on a call at the veranda. I hugged him tightly and let out a small tear.

“Hey babe are you okay”? “I just missed you”. “You know what I’ll treat you to dinner, an amusement park and so on for making you wait that long”.

We got dressed and left for the restaurant. I wore a white tank top and blue baggy jeans. While he wore a white hoodie and black jean pants. In the car I couldn’t stop looking at him tho, he was in a call but I know he could feel my gaze on him. We got to the restaurant ordered for an Italian cuisine and after that we left for the amusement park. “Babe after this food we just ate I don’t think I’m fit for going in any ride”. “Spill it where do you want to go to”. “I would love to watch the sunset at the beach”. He nodded and we left for the beach.

We sat down in the warm sand close to each other and watched the sun set. Dessert were brought to us and I couldn’t wait to eat them. “Wait..... W-w-hats this in my mouth”? A metal feeling in between my tees and it was a ring, a unique and nice ring. “B-b-bab-e”. He turned to my side. “Look, I know we didn’t start on good terms, you strived, put up with my nonsense and I love you for that. Would you marry me Sam”?
