The forest is silent as if the animals knew it was a hunting period. The critters ran away from the main road. They had to venture into the deep of the jungle to find anything. The sun was hidden behind the clouds. The rays which somehow managed to come out of the shadows get obstructed by the large tree leaves making the forest relatively darker even at this high noon.
A slight brown colour peeked out of the bush; it wiggled its nose as it tried to find its way. It hopped closer to the main road, sniffing the road. Something changed in the air. It raised its head to sniff the air when ‘tuck’ a sound from the other side of the bush. The rabbit had no time to turn his head around as the arrow quickly killed him in one shot piercing its neck.
“Well done, Your Highness.” Senal bowed to her as he crossed the bush to collect the rabbit from the rough road.
