"So you're saying, you are an Oracle?" Blondy said in a playful tone.
"I am not an Oracle, I just know what will happen in the future" I restored.
"That's what an Oracle does!"
"Whatever..."
In need of an excuse, I introduced myself as an Oracle. A person who knows the bits of the future isn't rare in the realm of mages therefore, it's a perfect disguise.
Currently, we are in a coffee shop. Apparently, it is one of the most popular drinks before Armageddon, so I gotta try it. And my honest review is that... It's good! Too good!
Anyway, the blonde mage introduced herself earlier, her name is Sachel. A very old name in my time. In fact, she's very friendly and talkative, almost like Florek.
Sachel said that today is the 31st day of the last month, a couple of hours before the start of Armageddon.
When I told her that the future is very grim, she didn't believe me. Saying that the Oracle she knew said it will not cause the end of the world.
Well that was true, at least in the Magic realm. In the human realm, it was a complete opposite. Almost a third of the total population died within the first three challenges. I remember when I encountered a Legend, someone who survived the Armageddon in her younger years, she said that the Armageddon then was a total hell, corpses splattered everywhere, and all hope seems to be lost.
Armageddon is not a simple disaster. Once it started, the perspective of humans to the world changed. The supernaturals of the world lifted their veils and appeared one by one. Monsters across dimensions, the Mages of the Heavenly Tower, Alien Dragons and Parasitic tools are just the few humans faced.
It is very mysterious how and why the Armageddon happened even in my time, where humanity overcame the obstacles and didn't know how and when it would end.
"O, Holy Oracle, what is my future?" Amidst our teasing, she suddenly asked me this.
Finishing eating a cake, my thoughts flared up. A mage with high achievements such as Sachel should be at the Hall of Importance.
Hall of Importance is the most reliable source of information about the Armageddon, they showed who performed well by that time. It is also the place where important people got their titles like 'Luke the Walker'.
But it seems Sachel met an immediate fate before she became known. Such fate is so terrible for someone at her caliber.
"Why are you silent? Did I die?" Sachel stopped eating, maybe she was disappointed in her capabilities.
"No... It's not how it works. I don't know who would die in my vision" I tried to comfort her. It's not my job to tell her what her fate was going to be.
Fate isn't set in stone. That's one Grans always says to me whenever I am down. It became my belief and it helped me to be a successful Raider.
Though Raiders and Mages are always conflicted with each other, the Armageddon hasn't started yet and there's no one here who identifies as a Raider aside from me.
And thanks to Sachel's personality, I was able to have a friend. Even though I don't know how long our friendship will last, I want to help her change her fate, at least to be recognised by the Hall of Importance.
"Yor....Yor! Why are you always absent-minded?" Once again, her sneaking behind irritates me. But seeing she came back to her cheerful self, I was a bit satisfied.
"Not really, It's just I'm worried what will be the faces of the humans when they realize that their understanding of the world isn't as big as they thought" I ate another cake in a bite. I know this will be the last time I will eat such a delicacy.
"Such deep thoughts... Here have another one!" Sachel shove another cake in my mouth, giggling while doing so.
"Sach, aren't you afraid?" She stared at me for a while before replying.
"Nah, those monsters you described sounded weak In front of my fist!" She started flexing her muscles.
"How about we go to the plaza to ease your problems? There's also a firework show later, human fireworks are always better!"
Sachel stands up and hugged me tightly, much like earlier when we almost had a fight. It was of course, for the Teleportation.
Poor coffee shop owner, Sachel didn't even pay for the food that she ordered. Welp money was useless tomorrow anyway, better be broke than swim in a pile of garbage paper.

"Three!!!"
"Two!!!"
"One!!!"
"Happy New Year!!!"
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
At the Plaza Centre, thousands of people gathered. Screams and joy can be seen in their eyes. Fireworks explode anywhere in the sky, creating large amounts of gray smoke.
Among the crowd however, a mysterious group covered in matching hoods also gathered within. Different from others, their smiles are a bit eerie while staring at something only they can see.
The people ignored this group, thinking they were a bunch of weirdos and started to disperse. Before they could get far through, screams of terrors were made.
"Fuck man, why did you bit my wife!?" A random man shouted as he punched the random 'man' who bit his companion in the hand.
When he looked at the man again, he was shocked at its bloody and rotting face.
"Arghhhh! Someone bit me in the cheeks!!!"
"Shit! Me too!"
"Help..."
In just seconds, dozens of people were already bitten. The people initially thought they were just weirdos but the truth quickly arises.
"Ammie! Thank go- Arghhhh"
Those who were bitten by those weirdos earlier, woke up and chose violence. They bit the person nearest to them like a hungry wolf.
"Zombies!!!"
It didn't take long before someone realized what was going on. But it was completely too late, many people were already bitten, turned, and turning to be undead.
Some were brave enough to fight back, only to find himself surrounded by his fallen friends.
Not all people are idiots, some grouped themselves up to deal with the enemy, some quickly ran away in fear, and some who felt they were the main character and dived alone.
The entire plaza was bathed in blood. Humans inevitably lose in a battle of attention. Only a small percentage of them managed to survive and escape.
At the rooftop, Yorui and Sachel watched the scene unfold.
"...and this is happening everywhere? At this rate, the human race will die" Sachel looked at the silent Yorui, who seems to be staring at the hooded group below.
"No... This is simply a loss, without proper training and weapons, all races will fall at an ambush" Yorui hold one of Sachel's hands before looking at the sky.
"Besides, the real Armageddon hasn't started yet"

At the space beyond the skies, a massive creature larger than a star swallows the sun in an instant. Light vanished throughout the star system, as the massive creature moved to its new meal.
