The two swords appeared in Percy's hands, seemingly the perfect weight for him.
[Godsent Short Swords (Divine)] - A pair of swords made by the gods for their king, made from a mix of unknown materials that are unbreakable. Only the King and ones granted permission by him can wield the blades. Once two completely different swords that were cursed and deemed unstable, killing any gods that wielded them. As they found each other they could never be separated, the blades turned docile and bowed towards their king. Emits a mysterious aura. Enchantments: Blades Will, The swords show the best path of attack, pointing out the enemy's weak spots and openings. Increases Dexterity and Perception by 25%.
"Woah, seems like this Indra guy goes all in."
"I wonder what he sees in me."
Percy took a look at himself, he was wearing a black t-shirt with white baggy pants on.
"At least he has a good sense of style."
"These swords really feel comfortable in my hands, like I've wielded them my whole life."
Percy tried to take a few practice swings
…
A few minutes later
A man with two swords in his hands could be seen panting while laying on the ground.
"ugh.. this is harder then I initially thought, even with my beginner dual wielding skill focusing on both swords at the same time takes a ton of brain power and a lot of extra care in each movement. It isn't also like I had a body built for swinging swords around or fighting in general, the most exercise I got was from running. I somewhat have above average stamina and agility because of that though. Guess I can't be handed everything."
"Looks like the sun is about to set l better find to place to take some refuge"
Percy began to take a walk around the savanna looking for a cave or a wooded area with some foliage to take some shelter for the night, trying to avoid any creature along the way if possible.
Which sadly wasn't going to happen.
"fuck"
"uhck buzk arga"
A small green humanoid creature stood in front of Percy
"A Goblin as my first opponent really? Real original."
[I would advise caution, Goblins are known for their incredible physical strength, savageness, and their ability to reproduce at a alarming rate]
"Thanks Artemis"
Percy took a stance and mentally began to prepare for his first ever sword fight. Percy had gone hunting with his dad a few times last summer but never really caught anything because he didn't have the patience to wait for hours before getting the kill. He did like the adrenaline though.
"Swooosh"
The Goblin dashed toward Percy without warning winding up it's wooden club, hungry for the kill.
A sword blocked the club and another went for the neck ending with the Goblins head rolling through the grass and it's body lifelessly falling on the ground.
[You have slain - Child Goblin (Level 2) experience earned]
[You have gained a level]
"That ended shortly."
"I kind of feel bad, they were only a child. Well they shouldn't of left such a big opening. I feel rejuvenated, like I just had a great nights sleep. I also feel denser like my body evolved. Must be because I gained a level."
"Artemis how do I open my status."
[Simply think of the word status]
'Status'

"Seems like I gain a point in each stat each level up and 2 free points, I'll be putting 2 points into magic and 3 into dexterity. As dexterity is most likely the most important stat for swordsmanship and magic seems like it will be a godlike power in this new world."
"Artemis what does the +3 mean next to perception and dexterity?"
[That would be the 25% increase from your Godsent Short Swords]
"Oh right."
Percy took a deep breath of relief, his first fight ended in his favor. But then something strange happened. He felt a sort of pressure with in the air, every breath he took felt denser.
"That must be mana, my magic stat quintupled after all."
"I can feel it entering every pore, my body absorbing it and storing it somewhere."
Taking a look at his swords Percy noticed something.
"Their aura has grown stronger. Do they grow along with me?"
[Hidden trait discovered (Bloodthirsty)] - The Godsent Short Swords thirst for blood and yearn for battle, with each victory they grow stronger and more deadly.
"This is exhilarating, I never knew getting stronger could feel so liberating."
"The sun is starting to set and I don't want to be out here in the dark I better find a safe place to sleep."
Percy put the corpse of the Goblin in his inventory then continued his search for a camp eventually finding a small cave.
'I need to get better with these swords, fighting in this place is my only chance of survival so I should do my best to get good at it and get stronger at any chance possible.'
In a small cave in the middle of a hellscape you can hear a man grunting and slashing noises till the moon was high in the sky.
