Chapter 2

Chris:

I looked up at the tall figure looking down at me.

"Are you okay? You seem like you're hurt." the figure said.

To my surprise, the figure turned out to be my neighbor.

"Uh- Yeah, I'm fine. Just a headache" I shrugged.

Mr.Neal, that was his name. He was a bit of a weird one I guess. After all, he was always wearing weird shit about the Earth, not only that but would continually talk about its ending. Poor guy. After his wife died a few years back, he hadn't been the same since. He'd always talk about the sun blowing up or zombies rising up from the dead. Of course, no one believes him.

"Hey, Felix. The bus is here." Diana said, grabbing my arm and dragging me to the bus.

I waved goodbye to the man as I walked on the bus. I sat right in the middle like I usually do. I turned to the window, looking out at all the nice scenery. The bus made a sudden stop, letting all the kids in.

"Heyy!!," A familiar voice said.

I felt a body sit next to me as I looked over. "Hey."

Chris' Point of view:

"Heyy!!," I said, sitting next to Felix.

"Hey."

I frowned at his dry response "...Uhm, Nice outfit, dude" I smiled, trying to get some reaction out of him.

"Thanks."

I groaned and rolled my eyes, looking down at my skirt. I picked at the small rip on it, remembering about the fight I just had with my dad. I guess he doesn't approve of me, 'a boy', wearing a skirt 'for girls'.

"Fight?" I turned over to Felix, answering his question.

"Yeah.." I sighed.

"Don't worry about that transphobic idiot." he slightly laughed, still looking out the window.

"If he can't realize that he has an amazing daughter, then he's missing out."

I smiled at his kind response. It really made my bus ride, honestly. The bus was pretty quiet, quieter than usual. But it wasn't bad. Kinduv liked it.

Felix's point of view again:

I was happy to see that I made Chris feel better. We finally made the last stop and headed to school. The bus trip was pretty loud, with people throwing stuff, yelling, screaming, switching seats. We got to the school pretty fast, it felt like 2 seconds, honestly. Like everyone else, I walked in and headed straight to my locker.

"Hey, Wait up!" Chris yelled, making my ears ring.

"So, did you hear about the new kids? Two of them~" she said, leaning against the locker next to mine.

"No." I replied, "new kids, hm? What's so great about that?" I mumbled quietly, but still loud enough for Chris to hear.

"I don't know, we could all be friends I guess." She shrugged and stood up straight.

I sighed, not really caring. I mean, what's the point? They're just going to fit in with the, I quote, 'cool kids'. I headed straight to my class, setting all my stuff down, and sat at my desk. Right next to me was Chris, taking out her notes.
