11. THE RESCUE

In a room surrounded with chairs and a table in the middle, sat 8 people, and I was one of them.

"I decided to bring this emergency meeting because of the fact that the survivors has increased greatly, and you all know what that implicates" I said

"It would naturally mean that our food supplies would be consumed faster, and we seriously need to do something about it or we would all die of hunger." Kyle said

Apparently the group leaders had also increased with Mia, Kyle and Ben also joining the team

"We have to find another way out of this." Sophie said

"I think it's time we move to another location." John Suggested

"Aren't we supposed to wait for the government to arrive, they have the firepower to end all this and save us." Stacy said with a worried look

"we should look into the future, we can't stay here and die while waiting for the protection of the people who we don't even know!" mark said with an angry tone

I guess his the kind of character with a sad backstory

"I think we should go with Mark's idea." Kyle said

"No, Stacy's right we need to wait, after all we can't do anything about it and how are we going to move over 300 students and teachers to a new location." Mia said

With the group arguing on what to do, they all shifted their gaze towards me, waiting for my response.

"I think we should go with Mark's idea, after all there's no harm in trying, and who knows we might just survive all this and move everyone to a safe location." I said

"And how are we supposed to do that?" Ben asked

"We could find any means of transportation, maybe a bus would do." I said

"We need more than one bus to convey all the survivors in here." Kyle said

"The school has multiple bus." Stacy said

"And how are you so sure of that?" Ben asked

"Mia's father funded the money for it." Stacy said

"How did you.."

"Well then that's settled, what's next." i said

"Even if we find a way to convey all the survivors, where the hell are we going to go?"

"That I don't know... Does anyone has a suggestion on that" I asked

"I might know a place." Sophie said

"Where?"

"My grandparents have a large farmhouse, we could go there, it would surely fit everyone here and moreover, it's also isolated which means zombies there would be less."

"Then it's settled... We're moving"

We all got out of the room in which we had made our meeting place

"Kate! Kate please I need your help." a blonde petite girl said running towards me

"What's the problem?" I asked

"Please can you help me, I need your help!"

"First calm down" I said

"Now tell me what's the matter?" I asked

"it's my sister." She said as warm tears escaped her eyes

"What about your sister?" I asked

"S-she's trapped in the girls bathroom, In the girls hostel before the apocalypse started she had excused herself to go to the girls bathroom and that's the last I ever saw her, please save her, she's all I have." she said crying

"What's your name?"

"Sniff! Sniff!... A-Alice, my name is Alice"

"Well Alice you don't have to worry, I'll bring your sister back." I assured her

"Are you sure about this?" Sophie who was listening to us asked

"I fought a giant spider and won, now I'm confident that there's nothing out there I can't defeat" with a smirk I said

"TSK!"

Sophie clicked her tongue

"You're acting too cocky now." Sophie said

"I think you're just jealous."

"Of what?" Sophie said offended by my words

"I'm better than you, I have a pretty face coupled with my large chest and now I'm pretty strong."

"What are you implicating?."

Unknowingly i had hit Sophie's weak point, she looked offended and hurt now.

'was she's offended by my words or...'

'she's feeling hostile towards me, I mean I have a large chest and she doesn't' I thought

'i shouldn't let things like this get to my head.'

"Haaa... Just make sure you make it back here alive, ok." Sophie said turning her back to leave

'Who knows women envy their fellow women property, you can never see a man envy another man's stick.... Never' with that I left the building for the girls bathroom

On my way to the girls bathroom in the girls hostel, I encountered numerous zombies which were all slayed easily

"I'm not getting any extra stats from killing the zombies, something must be wrong here.... Maybe the system detects that I'm much stronger than them, so it didn't award me any extra stats" I thought

[Hardening level 2~ Description~ allows the user to increase the density on his skin temporarily which makes the user invincible to attacks below level 4 __ for every 5 seconds used, it takes 10 magic powe]

[Lightning step level 3~Description~ allows the user to move one metre with the speed of sound_ uses 20 magic power to activate]

"Come to think of it, I have really evolved, but I'm still not satisfied... I need more." I said as I finally got to the girls hostel.

"It's time for a rescue mission." I said

Inside the girls bathroom

"Am I going to die like this? I can't die like this." a girl curled like a ball with soft black hair and emerald green eyes said.

"Alice.... I just hope you're safe, please be safe."

"Somebody... Anybody... Please help me."

"Where is a hero when you need one."
