When Anurak returned to the hotel, he picked up his unopened bag and went to the train station, where he bought tickets and traveled back to Bangkok. Anurak came to his town on a flight. His first time on a plan. But he returned to Bangkok by train because he needed time to process his thoughts. During the journey, Anurak developed a fever, but was able to hold on until he got back to Bangkok.

Just a few towns from Bangkok, he received a call from New. New was back for the New Year and wanted to know where Anurak was.

“Can you come pick me up at the train station? I am not feeling fine.” Anurak managed to whisper on the phone.

By the time Anurak's train arrived, it was night and New had been waiting for more than 30 minutes.

Getting out of the train was harder than Anurak expected. His head and joints were in pain. His eyesight was blurry, and he couldn't stop shaking. This was probably the first time he would be getting this sick in a long time.
