Anurak, Let Me Love You!

When Anurak was young, his father became a toyboy for a gang leader and even abandoned his family for another woman. His mother died when he was 10. But before her death, she had planted some notions into his mind. Notions that gay men are husband snatchers and evil. Notions that a true man can only depend on himself. Notions that a man can only love one woman. These notions turned Anurak into an overly sensitive young boy, who would rather suffer in silence than ask for help. He would rather wallow in confusion than ask questions. Because he didn't want to disappoint his late mother, he tried his best to adhere to her principles. Things were fine until he entered the university. First, gay men lurked everywhere he turned to and the sight of them made it very hard for him to keep ignoring his true feelings. Then his girlfriend broke up with him and the only man who made him tempted enough to break his principles decided to force things. --------------------------------------------------------------------- WARNING: This is a coming-of-age story about a Bisexual young man. Good For Nothing, Rich Kids!

This was a matter that led him to sleep in a police cell for two weeks when two of the boys he beat up turned out to be rich kids.

He only got out of this case without any problem because Sophea somehow got proof that the kids were doing drugs. So their parents traded.

Anurak fears no one. He wouldn't go looking for trouble, but he wouldn't back off either. And if there was something Anurak hated, it was uncalled-for disrespect. Right now, that was exactly what Payu was doing. Disrespecting him for no reason. To add salt to injury, he gave him an order.

This man must be mad!

"Why would I do that? Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?"

Anurak faced Payu and sneered back at him without standing up. He could have stood up and looked Payu in the eye, but it would have been counterproductive.

Standing up would mean obeying Payu's orders. Anurak wasn't dumb.

Oh, fuck!

New jumped to his feet and grabbed Anurak's hand, trying to get him off the chair.

"Anurak, stand up. Stand up."

Snatching his hand from New, Anurak glared at him ferociously.

"Alai-fucking-wah?" He snapped at New then brushed him off. "Why should I stand up for him? Did he bring the chair from his house?" He yelled in New's face.

New looked so shocked and lost. He had no idea Anurak could be so … frightening.

Watching the way Anurak went at Payu, An image of a cat flashed through King's mind. A small smile slightly stretched his lips as his interest in the cute boy deepened subconsciously.

Without thinking, he stepped towards him.

"What's your name?" A deep and raspy voice reached Anurak's ears.

Everyone in the class gasped as they watched King walk over to Anurak.

In the middle of a fight, despite how angry he was, Anurak liked that voice and turned in its direction. His anger had somewhat abated when he heard that voice.

The moment their eyes clashed, everything stood still.

To Anurak, those icy irises were the only thing in the world. He was mesmerized.

So cold.

He could hardly stop himself from shivering.

King stopped a few feet away and was staring him down, but he might as well have had his hands around Anurak's neck because, for a split second, Anurak couldn't breathe.

"Anurak." New's soft voice reached him. It sounded worried and urgent. It helped him break out of his dazed state.

Anurak frowned his face as he thought of what just happened again. He didn't understand why a fellow man could have such an effect on him for a second time.

He has always been attracted to other men. Especially beautiful men, but this was the first time it would happen twice with the same person.

His attraction to men was always on their first meeting. Thereafter, he would deliberately bury that attraction. This was the first time he would try to ignore a man but failed completely.

The attraction he felt towards King just now was as strong as the first time he saw him. It was like meeting him all over again.

Realizing what had just happened, A new kind of fear rose in Anurak's heart, but he pushed it down with anger.

He is a man. You are not into men. Anurak reminded himself.

Anurak stood up and to his annoyance, for the second time in the day, some huge guy was towering over his small frame.

King was just too large and big. Even though he was some feet away from Anurak, his presence was still overwhelming.

Anurak darted his eyes around King's frame and swallowed hard.

He is stunning.

Anurak felt the impulse to place his hands on King's chest, he really wanted to know how hard those packs were…

Scared of his own thoughts, Anurak fisted his hands and tucked them in his pockets before meeting King's eyes.

To his chagrin, he had to look up to face King who was several inches taller than him. He was even taller and bigger than the guy from the toilet.

He is bigger than that guy and finer than I. Anurak mused inwardly.

This thought only made him more angry. He felt ugly and inadequate.

He already has money. Why can't he leave the good looks to me? Anurak's face turned more distorted as his mind raced with these thoughts.

"Are you deaf? Answer him!" Payu snapped from the side. His words instantly reminded Anurak of why he was angry. He snorted and simply sat down again, ignoring Payu… And King.

Payu was furious and would have manhandled Anurak, but King signaled him to do nothing. Then King shocked him by approaching Anurak and actually spoke to him.

Payu had been with King for a very long time. They grew up together. Even though Payu was never able to figure out King's thoughts, he knew that something was off. King hardly speaks to anybody. If there was a need for communication, it was Payu's job to handle it. But today, King walked up to some random boy and asked for his name. Why?

He was still musing about this when he heard the annoying boy snort instead of stating his name and now, he was totally ignoring him. When has Payu ever been disrespected like this? He wanted to make his move, but King glared at him. Payu's frown deepened.

He could do nothing.

After Anurak sat down again, the whole class went quiet.

Everyone was shocked by Anurak's actions. It was completely unexpected.

New reached for Anurak and gave him a deep stare. "Anurak, let's talk outside."

Even though he didn't outrightly beg, his tone was pleading. Anurak heaved and glared at King. He didn't even spare Payu a single glance. He just grabbed his backpack and the textbook on his desk, then briskly walked out of the room in anger.

With Anurak out of the way, New turned to King with his palms together and started apologizing in a solemn voice.

"P'King! I am so sorry. He is just having a bad day. He doesn't mean it. I will go talk…"

"DAMN GOOD FOR NOTHING, RICH KIDS!" Anurak screamed from outside the lecture room, making New feel stumped.

Everywhere went silent as they all listened to him cursing unrestrained.

New's face grew red with shock and embarrassment. Especially when he saw a trace of a smirk on King's face. He thought Anurak's words had made King angry to the point of smiling.

This Anurak! He is going to get himself killed!

Knowing that there was nothing for him to say again, New hurried out of the lecture room to stop Anurak's tantrums.

After he left, the whole class erupted in an uproar.

Unbothered by the noise, King took Anurak's seat and rested his head on the table, while Payu took the chair behind him. Nat took the seat in front of King, while Saint took the one New was using before. With how the three boys were positioned, Anyone with insight would easily know that King was well-guarded.

After sitting down, Nat brought out his phone and opened a private group chat room. He sent a message to the group. Payu and Saint's phone beeped, and they checked the message.

After reading it, the two realized that Nat was right. King had approached that boy just now. He had gotten as close as five feet to the boy before stopping. As if that wasn't shocking enough, when King stood in front of that boy, he stared the guy down without showing any of his usual symptoms.

What does that mean?

After Anurak stomped out of the class, he was so angry that he cussed unrestrained. When New tried to stop him, he brushed New aside and continued. He didn't stop until a fellow student came out of the neighboring class and gave him a stink eye for the disturbance he was causing. That was when Anurak remembered where he was.

With the decision to ditch class, he ignored New who was quietly standing beside him, and briskly walked down the corridor of his classroom. When he got to the escalator on his floor, he took the one going down and then called Sud.

He had had enough for one day and needed someone to vent to. Sud was his best bet since he would understand this school better than anyone.

Sud picked on the first ring.

"Anurak, Sawasdee." He replied to Anurak's greetings.

"P'Sud, are you busy? I want to see you!"

"Haven't you started lectures?" Sud asked. He was unable to sense that anything was wrong.

"We have one now, but I am not attending it," Anurak confessed.

"Why?"

"Something came up. That's why I wanted to see you, Hia."

"Just tell me what happened," Sud replied.

Looking around, Anurak shook his head. "Phi, I can't say it on the phone. People will hear me."
