Chapter 64 : Jealousy and Desire

"Don't. Don't look at her," Kaizo thought to himself as he stares at Albi.

Images of Axion being close with Albi flashes in Kaizo's mind.

"You don't deserve to look at her like that."

Kaizo fiercely attacks Albus. As if he's unleashing anger that has been buried deep.

"Mr. K has pulled another sword. Could it be his real power? Our gladiator, Albus is being pushed back!" Pandora yelled.

Albus can sense a menacing aura as Kaizo walks towards him.

"Kaizo, is there a meaning to this fight? I can help defeat Diablo and yield so she can win," said Albus

"Do you think she'll be satisfied with that kind of victory?" Kaizo asked.

Kaizo's words hit him. He's right. Axion is not someone who would be satisfied by a victory that is handed to her. She would prefer to claim it herself.

"You don't know her, yet you have the nerve to be by her side," said Kaizo.

Albus looked at him. He held his sword tight. "Then, let us fight and see who will offer victory," he said with determination.

They both put a stance, ready to fight.

"Hooo...." Ramenman mumbled. "So they finally fight."

"Kaizo is pulling his energy sword. His identity is at risk," said Rum.

"Maybe. But to Kaizo, this fight is worth the risk," said Ramenman.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Rum asks.

"It's a battle of men. They're going to fight on who's better for Axion," said Ramenman.

"Oh ho ho. I see. I know what you mean," Phoenix nods.

"You mean, Albi knows it's Kaizo?" said Rum. "Then does he know that Noche is Axion?"

"Albi definitely knows he's fighting Kaizo. But I'm not sure about Axion," said Ramenman. "Do you think Albi would still like Axion if he knows that she's a bounty hunter?"

"I doubt," said Lahap. "Why would a noble knight like him wants to be associated with a bounty hunter?"

Phoenix chuckled. "You youngsters don't know much about love."

They all looked at Phoenix.

"Once you're in love, not even the world would matter compared to your loved one," said Phoenix dramatically.

"Even so, people of Rubrum won't simply accept a bounty hunter," said Rum

"Then Albi needs to choose between his position as a knight or his love for Axion," said Phoenix.

"Heh! You're saying that as if Albi is going to win. Kaizo is strong, you know? If Kaizo can beat him, he will stay quiet for a while," said Ramenman.

"You seem to be sure about it," said Phoenix.

"I have faith in the strength of my brother in arms," Ramenman replied.

"Noche and Diablo tangled in close combat!" Pandora yelled.

"Heh. Impressive. This is the first time someone can pull me into close combat," said Diablo as he parries Noche's twin dagger with his devil sticks.

"Then this will be the last time you could ever stand," said Noche. Her attack doesn't slow down.

"Don't be so sure," said Diablo. He pulled a stick and threw it in front of Noche's face.

Diablo smirked and jumped back. Noche can see sparks on the stick and immediately pulls back. The stick blows up as it releases black smoke.

"IT'S OUT!!! Diablo's special devil stick, devil bomb!" Pandora yelled.

The crowd cheered. They looked at the smoke expectantly. Diablo smirked. Suddenly, a few ice spikes flew towards Diablo. The ice spike was so clear and smooth it almost looked like an invisible mirror. Unable to see the coming attack, Diablo got struck.

"Diablo got struck by Noche's attack! Unbelievable!" Pandora yelled.

Diablo falls. Noche looked at Kaizo and Albi.

Both Kaizo and Albus charge towards each other. With his energy sword, Kaizo can match Albus's strength.

"So, you have fallen for her too," said Albi.

Kaizo flinched. His attack is slightly slower.

"That's not your business," said Kaizo.

Albi can sense doubt in Kaizo's attack.

"If you don't fall for her, why would you fight me so?" Albi asked.

"I just don't like having you near my team," Kaizo answered.

"No," said Albi abruptly. "You like Axion. But you're in doubt of your own feelings. Yet you have the audacity to say I'm not worthy of her."

"Don't talk as if you know anything about me!" Kaizo yelled.

Albi's words make him angry. Kaizo swings his sword. But Albi managed to hold his attack.

"My feeling for her is true. I have no doubt that I love her," said Albi.

Kaizo furiously swings his sword. His anger can't be contained anymore.

"Is it?!" said Kaizo.

Albi looked at him in confusion.

"She's a hunter. You're a noble knight. You think you can be with her when your existence is the opposite of her?" Kaizo asked.

Doubt begins to fill Albi. He fell silent as he kept parrying Kaizo's attack.

"Answer me!" Kaizo yells.
