Chapter 58 : Dancing Arena

"Prince Barnabe from Barnabas Kingdom caught in a fight with Noche. They're dancing in the fierce battle of swords," Pandora yelled.

"I will avenge the people you've killed," said Barnabe as he keeps swinging his sword.

"Just so you know. I don't kill people who have a clean slate," said Noche.

Hearing her words, Barnabe swings his sword with full force. Noche parries it.

"One of your lords forced his people to pay unreasonable taxes," said Noche. "He let his people starve."

"Don't you think you can justify what you did! The man you've killed might be guilty. But you don't have the right to judge him, let alone kill him," said Barnabe.

Noche parries his attack with full strength, breaking Barnabe's sword into two. "I don't!" she said. "Someone just happened to hire me to kill him."

"OOHHH! Barnabe's swords broke! How will he continue to fight?" Pandora yelled.

Barnabe clenched his fist.

"At some point, don't you know the reason why they hired me is because you failed to serve justice on your people?" Noche asked a rhetorical question.

Barnabe flinched at her words. He looked at her in wonder.

Suddenly, the ground trembled. Some fighters tried to stay balanced. Giganto coming towards Noche. His voice rumbled, calling Noche's name as his feet tried to step on her. Barnabe jumps back. Noche swiftly runs away from his range of feet. Giganto stepped hard on the ground. The crowds were shocked in fear. The coliseum trembled. Some fighters who are not lucky got stepped on.

"Ahhh... this one looked useful," Noche mumbled. She begins to run around Giganto's vicinity. Thinking to lure him into running around the arena and step on other fighters.

Giganto growled. He walks around the arena, trying to chase Noche. But instead, he kicks away other fighters. Suddenly, Graeme jumps at Giganto's. He swings his metal scythe at Giganto. Giganto slowly falls to the ground with a loud noise, shaking the whole arena.

"Graeme jumps at Giganto, slashing the back of Giganto's neck. Giganto is eliminated!" Pandora yelled.

Few fighters who got caught by Giganto's body squirms. They got stuck under Giganto's body and couldn't get out.

"Awww...shame. I couldn't use him anymore," said Noche.

Graeme begins chasing Noche. He endlessly swings his scythe. Noche parries his attacks.

"He's fast," Noche thought to herself.

"Finally! We meet on the battlefield," said Graeme.

"OH! Noche parrying Graeme's scythe. Their movement is really fast," Pandora yelled.

Suddenly, few knives flew at Noche. She dodges and parries a few knives. The knives she dodged flew at Graeme. He spins his scythe. The knives bounced and stabbed other fighters. Both Noche and Graeme looked at a fighter.

"A surprise! Cidolfus Wraith sent his flying knives. All of them missed!" Pandora yelled.

"I know they missed! You don't have to announce it! Just you see, I won't miss again," Wraith yelled back at Pandora.

"Wraith! Stay out of my fight or I'll cut your head off!" said Graeme.

Wraith licks his knife as he looks sharply at Graeme. "Or, I can stab your heart."

"Tsk. I don't intend to work together with you," said Graeme.

"...neither do I," Wraith sneered.

"Wow! Both Graeme and Wraith charge at Noche. It's a tango of threesome battle!" Pandora yelled.

Wraith throws lot's of knives. Graeme swings his scythe at Noche as he parries Wraith's knives. Noche slowly got pushed back.

"Run all you want. You cannot escape death," said Graeme. He swings his scythe from above.

Noche Parry it. "Well, you can't exactly kill someone who's already dead, can you?"

Graeme spaced out for a moment. Confused by Noche's words. Noche doesn't let this chance slip. She spins and cuts Graeme's stomach.

Graeme groans as he takes a few steps back. Wraith uses this opportunity to sneak behind Noche. He suddenly stabs her. Noche slightly grimaced in pain.

"Noche got hit!" Pandora yelled.

Kaizo and his team looked at her with worries.

"I will cut your heart out," Wraith whispered.

Noche smirked under her mask. "Such unfortunate," she said. She turns and holds Wraith's hand. Wraith tried to pull his hand, but her grip was too strong. The knife in his hand fell. "I've no heart," Noche whispers back, sending chills to Wraith's spine.

Graeme soon raises his scythe again and charges at Noche. He swings his scythe, aiming for her neck. Just a few seconds before the scythe cut her head, Noche ducked. Both Graeme and Wraith are stunned. Graeme's scythe got Wraith. Noche took this opportunity to stab Graeme. Her sword goes through Graeme's body. Graeme spits blood from his mouth. His scythe falls to the ground and his body soon follows it.

"OOOOHHHH How unexpected!!! Graeme's scythe has put Cidolfus Wraith down! The A-class assassin is eliminated!" Pandora yelled, followed by the crowd's cheer. "Graeme is defeated. The bounty hunter who defeated the grim reaper and defied death, Noche!"
