The First Attack
The thick forest near Curt. Curt.
"Behind you!"
The warrior who had been so protective of the rest called. His voice had broken into confetti trained by fear and concern. His eyes alert but piercing. He was moving dramatically as though he had seen the worst. Well, twas prettily hard to tell what the worst was.
The fellow he had called upon turned quickly to catch the idea of the cry. He was lucky enough to swing his spear and cut through the side of the cougar which had charged at him.
The fellow immediately ran to meet up with the rest of the group. He had gone to ease himself in the first place.
As soon as he got to the remaining eight, they locked themselves up in a circle, with their backs against one another. They were moving at rhythmic pace as the two tigers tossed their threats.
"What do you think they are thinking?"
