CHAPTER 12 PART 1

Evening came and it was almost time for the party.Anne was getting her self ready.She wore a nice red short dress that stopped right below the knees with white snickers. No make up,I mean c'mon its not a date so she just chose something easy and casual.Since she doesn't know the place,Rommy said he would pick her up.After finishing she went down stairs where she met with Amanda"How do I look?" "You look stunning my dear"said Amanda with a smile. This is the first time that her little Anne was going to a party.She was truly happy."Your mum said to have fun,but not too much fun.And no alcohol.She also said to be home by midnight"Amanda passed on the instructions.As usual Martha was working late and just told Amanda to pass it on.

"Miss Anne,there is someone outside whose looking for you"the butler said."Here's my ride. Love you Amanda"

Anne headed out and saw Rommy standing beside a nice blue Cadillac. It matched the jeans he was wearing together with a t-shirt with half a heart.He really looked good.She entered the car and saw Rhoda wearing the same as Rommy with also a tshirt with half a heart. A true romantic couple Anne thought.She sat in the front seat while Rommy and Rhoda sat at the back, making out all the way from the mansion to where the party is held.

Nik threw the party at a big house just outside of town.It was a modern house with glass windows and tile floor.There were many people there having fun drinking dancing making out ect.She was now really kinda getting bored.Don't get her wrong the party was lit,it was spectacular.Nothing she had ever seen before.Nik really does know how to throw a party.But the problem was that she came only expecting to see Dani.It has been a week and she really misses him a lot.

"Didn't really fancy you a party person"said Randy coming infront of Anne.He was holding a drink and offered it to her.

"Nik invited me.Told me the whole class was gonna be there.So i thought why not"Anne answered taking a sip.Don't get her wrong but she was suprised to see Randy here.According to some students Randy and Nik have a grudgeagainst one another.Apparently Nik is dating Randys younger sister and he doesnt approved.They even nearly fought once in the courtyard.Seeing him here, does it mean they have finally put aside their differences?

"By the way you look stunning."Randy told Anne placing a faint smile on Anne's face.She didn't know how to reply. Just when she was about to reply she heard some laughter at the door.But one laughter caught her attention.She only once heard it but she still remembers it clearly.Could it be him?Quickly she turned and there he was.Standing at the door and laughing with some of the classmates.He really came.Daniel Anderson was standing there all tall and elegant.Their eyes met and Anne's heart stop functioning.His gaze alone made her brain shut down and body freeze.

This was not ordinary.What was happening to Anne.she never once felt this about anyone.What effect did Daniel have on her.Is it witchcraft or sorcery? Whatever it was,Anne was sure it will bring bad news.

"Dani!!!!Glad you could make it although you're late"Rhoda said hurrying and giving Dani a hug,soon followed by Rommy.

ROMMY:"Told you he would make it"

RHODA:"Never lost faith

DANI:"Nice to see you too.I can see the French Quarters is holding its reputation for good parties coz this party is amazing guys"

"And all credits go to me"Nik said coming to meet them.He had a beer in hand and holding a girl in the other."Nik Rebecca nice to see you as always.Is your brother still mad at us?"Dani asked as a joke and the answer he was given shocked him,it shocked all of them."Why dont you ask him yourself hes over there"Rebecca answered with a grin pointing to Anne and Randy.They all followed her gaze amd spotted the two standing there.And there she was.Anne Hathaway.The girl who is always in Daniel's thought.Its like she put a spell on him.Truth be told he only came to the party to get a glance of her.

And when their eyes met,there were invincible sparks forming around them.Everything and everyone around them seemed to disappear. The heart rate increased and it was as if there was vacuum coz he couldn't breath.

"Should we go and say hi?"Rhoda asked after long silence.Seems like the starring contest ended in a draw as the two each looked the other way.

"Yeah sure.Why not"Dani said walking towards Randy and Anne.

Anne's heart rate starting going off the roof.He was now walking towards her.She wanted the earth to just open up and swallow her whole.

Dani:Didnt think you'd come?

Randy:Why? Am i not invited?

Dani:of course you are.You are our still our friend

Randy:First of all.Im not your friend just classmate.Secondly Im not here because of you.am here because of Rebecca.Came here to ensure Nik behaves

Rhoda:What do you mean behave.?And besides Rebecca is old enough to make her own decisions

Dani:Guys this is a party.We are here to be happy drink and dance not quarrel.So please stop this.

Nik:Speaking of celebrating.Let me introduce you to our newest member of French Quarter.Anne

And all the eyes shifted to her.Well She could only concentrate on one.His smouldering gaze on her made her hot. literally.

"Welcome to French Quarters"Daniel said flashing out a smile.He looks so cute when he smiles.

"Who told you she wants to join your little band of lunitics?"Randy said defensively making Anne jolt back a little.She didn't know where that was coming from

"Excuse me?"the others ask in unison.They all didn't expect this move from Randy.All except Dani.He has been friends with him to know how defensive he can be for the woman he cares about.Sometimes too defensive.

"You heard me.Anne doesn't need to be in your stupid group""Who are you to say what i want and don't want."Anne interrupted Randy in his speech.I mean who the hell was he?Anne certainly didn't ask him to defend her.she can do that on her own.
