02: New World

With a gasp, Azes woke up.

He was in the body of a child, he looked down to see that he was in a hospital's bed, with a sigh of relief he smiled. 'At least I'm not in danger.' Thought Azes as he felt a headache! Memories filled his mind and he received enough information to know what was happening. First things first, this body's name is also Azes, this was a favor Truck-kun gave him, saying that it would be boring to change names now... Second, his surname is Verismo. Azes Verismo! Well, it isn't a bad name, is it?

Third, this body was a half-blood with low magic, almost a squib, but after Azes transmigrated his body started to absorb magic particles from the air. This is the effect of the Unique Skills he got! The first skill is [Energy], this Unique Skill will help him in adapting to new energies faster, be able to use them in other universes, and also control the energy in his pocket world. [Gaia] is his Unique Skill that is most interesting in his opinion because, with this skill, Nature will always love him and he will be able to control it. This gives him the skills [Plant Magic], [Plant Affinity], [Earth Magic], [Earth Affinity], [Life Magic], [Life Affinity].

And at last but not least, [Time Manipulation] the name says it all. Azes can stop time, rewind time, fast-forward time, slow motion, and more!

The magical energy entering his body became faster and faster, his body was constantly absorbing the magical energy, it will go on until his magic core is strong and healthy. Because his body was not used to this magic energy, it started to break, and recover again and again. Azes started to adapt to the magic in the air, his skin would fall down like dust and recover, his hair became gray and his eyes were constantly changing color. After 10 minutes, this process stopped and Azes could finally breathe again... He looked around and saw that no one was in the room now, he tried to get up, he felt a pain in his legs, but successfully got up.

He left the hospital room and looked around... No one is the hallways. "Good. Now I can try it." Azes got back to his bed his body was constantly absorbing magic particles in the air, so he decided to try something first, and if it works, he will continue to do it until he masters it. "Okay... Let's try it." Azes sat back on the bed and closed his eyes, trying to feel the energy, after some time he finally felt the magical particles entering his body... He focused on this feeling and opened his eyes. There was a paper on the tiny table beside his bed, he used it as his target of practice. He closed his eyes, tried to move his magic out of his body, and move the paper on the table.

It was tiring!

He would use too much energy or too little energy! He got tired easily, at least his energy came back faster because his body was absorbing the energy from the air. Azes continued to try to move the paper for some minutes until he successfully moved the paper from the table using his magical energy, similar to Telekinesis.

Now, he is going to check his wishes.

These are his wishes, he will try them now. First, he focused on his Pocket World and imagined himself inside, he felt the breeze in his face and when he opened his eyes he saw the sea, he was in the top of a mountain mid-sea, looking down at the sea that was amazing... He thought about the hospital and again he felt like he was being pressed against a hole, forcing him to blink, he was then back at the hospital. To test the system he thought about it and successfully he heard a small clicking noise in his mind. A screen appeared on his face:

Azes smiled, it seems like he can do it without fear of punishment of some sort. With a sigh, he decided to wait until his letter of Hogwarts or something like. "Wait. Where am I?" Azes got up and left the hospital room, searching for a nurse of some sort, when be found one he quickly asked with a childish voice: "Eh... Excuse me, miss, where am I?" The nurse was somewhat young, yellow-golden hair, blue eyes, and her lips were always upwards, giving the sensation that she was always smiling. "Oh, hello kid. You are now in the Hospital." she had a weak French accent, she paused for a second but continued: "You are on France." With a sigh, Azes thanked the woman and left. He decided to continue his magical training until something happens or until he is old enough to leave and try to get on a magical academy of some sort.

He continued the same training of moving the paper, after two weeks he was able to do it effortlessly with just a thought, he continued to use heavy things, like pebbles and branches of the nearby tree them he went to the bed itself. One day, he was visited by a bird. The bird had red feathers that went from red to orange and then to yellow on the features of its tail, the bird was big, bigger than a bald eagle, and was also more majestic and beautiful. The bird was a Phoenix, the Phoenix landed on his window and looked at him with interest, Azes was also curious about the Phoenix, so he extended his arm and tried to touch the Phoenix that surprisingly approached hin and enjoyed his touch.

"It's impressive." A voice said from behind him. Azes looked behind to see an old man with pale skin and white hair, he was smiling at him and at the bird that was in his arms enjoying a good pat. Azes recognized the man, he was Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist. Nicolas seemed to be on his 20s, but the way he walked and talked was like an old man... Also, he had a strange feeling around him, a feeling of decay. Azes was startled when he felt it because it was the same feeling of when he died, he unconsciously used his magic to levitate everything on the room at the same time. Flamel looked at this scene and thought that he had scared the boy, making him unconsciously use magic.

Azes quickly fainted after using all his magical energy, he could only levitate his bed for some centimeters above the ground, but now he levitated everything around him in 30 centimeters from the ground! He used too much energy.
