Chapter 4: Lumin's First Encounter with the Resistance

Lumin had been running for what felt like hours, trying to evade the alien soldiers that were pursuing him. He had never been in a situation like this before, and he was scared out of his mind. The only thing that kept him going was the knowledge that he had to keep moving, to keep himself and his powers out of their grasp.

As he rounded a corner, Lumin nearly ran into a group of people who had been huddled behind a building. They all looked up in surprise as he skidded to a stop in front of them.

"Who are you?" one of them asked, suspiciously.

"My name is Lumin," he replied, trying to catch his breath. "I need help. The aliens are after me."

The group exchanged glances, and then one of them stepped forward.

"We're the resistance," she said. "We're here to fight against the aliens and their human collaborators."

Lumin's heart lifted as he realized that he had finally found allies. He quickly explained his situation to them, and they listened with growing concern.

"You're lucky you stumbled upon us," the leader of the group said. "We've been looking for others like you, people with special abilities who can help us in the fight against the aliens. We've heard rumors about a child with light powers, and we believe you might be him."

Lumin was stunned. He had always known that he was different, but he had never considered that his powers could be put to greater use. He quickly agreed to join the resistance, eager to put his abilities to the test and help free humanity from the aliens' grasp.

As they made their way back to the resistance's hidden base, Lumin couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and purpose. For the first time in his life, he was part of something bigger than himself, and he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
