Chapter 1

A strong splitting headache woke Itennu from his slumber. He winced at the pain grabbing his head and tried to open his eyes. He squinted at the strong light bearing down at him and pushed himself to sit up. As he did his muscles protested as they were extremely sore. He rubbed his eyes and blinked many times before finally adjusting to the light beating down on him.

He groaned as he looked around, observing his surroundings, the soreness in his muscles made him feel like a rusty hinge. He was in a forest lush with green bushes and large trees, and he was sitting in the clearing with lush grass and patches of dirt and rocks around him. He slowly made himself stand up, his bones cracking loudly and his muscles resisting his order.

He eventually straightened up and stretched his body, which lifted a great burden from it. He tried to remember what transpired in order for him to be lying in the middle of a forest but his mind turned up blank and a headache formed.

He grew frightened as he tried to remember his past, and nothing came to him. He couldn't remember who were his friends, his family, his home, but he remembered his name; "Itennu," he said to himself, he cleared his throat as he heard his small voice. He probably hit his head too hard or something he thought.

A small breeze made Itennu shiver. He looked down at his body and was embarrassed to find he was naked. He quickly dropped down and wrapped himself in his arms.

He looked around to see if there were any clothes nearby but all he could see were trees and beyond that, more trees. He was sort of relieved that he found no clothes as if he did then he would honestly have more questions as to why he wasn't wearing them. Lost in a forest with no memories of how he got here, and no clothes, food, or water, the more Itennu thought about it the more he slipped into despair.

A sudden rustle of leaves spooked him and slapped him out of his thoughts. He quickly retreated away from the noise crouching behind a tree and peeking at where he thought he heard it.

Another rustle came from the bushes, then all of a sudden a small green creature bursted from the shrubs. The creature was now in the clearing, looking around intently, slowly making its way toward the middle where Itennu laid.

It carried a short blade with a crude handle which he recognized as a dagger, and wore a loincloth made of fur and two leather straps. It was disgustingly ugly, with a deformed face full of warts, a large nose, and long ears, the creature seemed to be human but Itennu was wary of approaching it.

As the creature's eyes came over him he quickly went back into hiding, his heart racing faster as suddenly he felt a certain danger about the small creature. He heard a snicker, and nothing else, not a word, only the sounds of the leaves being blown in the wind and the far off chirping of birds. Itennu slowly peeked back to see if the creature had left, but instead, a pair of large yellow eyes peered back at him.

The green creature lunged at him, laughing maniacally as it tried to plunge the dagger in Itennu's heart. He seized the creature's arm before it could, stopping the dagger just short of his chest. Itennu's heart started beating faster, as he used all of his strength to stop the blade from plunging into his chest.

The creature quickly transitioned to using both hands, then started to push with its body, Itennu was now struggling as the creature maniacally laughed with the dagger shakingly towering over his chest. Itennu looked around him to see if anything was around him, nothing, out of pure desperation, he kicked the creature as he felt the tip of the blade pinching his chest, knocking it into the tree.

The force of the blow made the creature withdraw it's dagger. Itennu quickly grabbed it, the creature drunkenly got up as it was staggered by the attack. Itennu without a second thought and with pure adrenaline pumping in his veins dived the dagger in between the creature's eyes. The creature croaked and became limp.

Itennu was breathing quickly and his heart was pumping fast, he pulled the dagger out letting the creature fall over. He continued to stare at the stagnant body as a pool of dark red blood settled around its head. He didn't know what that creature was but it tried to kill him. He eventually calmed down after staring at the creature's body for what seemed like hours, but still clenched the dagger in his hands.

He wanted to see if the creature was truly dead but his desire to get away from this situation was greater.

He slowly started to move away from the body going far into the forest away from the clearing. If more of these creatures were about, he needed to move cautiously and stay alert. He again tried to regain his thoughts and any previous memories but he was greeted to another headache and nothing came up once again. He gave up on trying to remember and instead focused his intention on the green creature he killed.

He didn't know what it was but it carried a crude dagger, this showed it had intelligence, separating itself from animals but the creature obviously wasn't human. It did possess human attributes such as being bipedal and having hands to grab things. It had human features on its face too but the face proportions were wildly different than humans, with larger ears, noses, and long chins.

He thought of why the creature attacked him and remembered the creature's crazed look. He instantly rested on the fact that it was insane. After walking a few hours, He looked up, the branches and leaves of the large trees covered the sky but it seemed to be getting dark. He made a quick decision to find a place to rest, but where could he?

He spotted a large tree after quite some time and decided he would rest there. He climbed it with the help of the creature's dagger using his hands and feet digging his fingernails into the bark. By the time he felt he was high enough he was a little exhausted and leaned on the trunk of the tree to rest.

He looked up to see the night sky, which was in full view and saw dazzling stars painted across it, with a smokey purple aura surrounding the stars. The bark surface although not very comfortable will prove to suffice.

His muscles ached from climbing and by the time they stopped his eyes became droopy. Although he tried to assure himself that sleeping in a forest wasn't very smart. His body protested, and since his brain was in the minority he slowly closed his eyes. The thought of the green creature however opened them again. This went on for what seemed like hours until his tired body gave in. This must be a dream, he thought, a very scary and weird dream.

Will probably rewrite this whole thing. Point errors please and thank you
