A contemplative silence fell over the group as they processed the grim reality of Zack Lockwood's potential demise. Simon, however, seemed to be wrestling with a thought. Finally, a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes.
"There might be a way to confirm whether he's alive or not," he began, his voice low and deliberate. Intrigue sparked in the eyes of his companions, and they leaned in, eager to hear his plan.
"We can return to Delta City," Simon continued. "The guards stationed at the teleportation platform might have seen or heard something that could confirm Zack's fate." A collective nod indicated understanding. Their mission in Alpha City was paramount, but verifying Zack's status was a pressing concern that couldn't be ignored.
With renewed determination, the group prepared to dive back into the heart of their mission. Once their task in Alpha City was complete, they would return to Delta City to seek answers.
