A few hours later,
The black spaceship slowed as it approaches its destination, its powerful engines humming a steady, almost ominous tune. A sudden call from Clinton echoed through the comms, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I stepped out of my quarters and into the corridor, feeling a strange sensation the moment I crossed the threshold. My senses sharpened as I stepped further out, and I couldn't help but notice subtle changes in the atmosphere. Something was different here.
"You ready?" Clinton's voice broke through the silence, pulling my attention to him.
"Yes, Elder," I responded, steadying my voice, though I could feel a rush of anticipation building inside me.
