“Sir, may I suggest you leave now?”

“You son of a bitch!”

Then Anthony’s father attempted to strike at Vincent, but his mother dragged the older man away in the nick of time. He watched as his father straightened up and patted his clothes down before huffing in anger and walking out from the office. His mother wiped her tears away before sighing at him.

“You should never have provoked your father. Maybe it’s best if you don’t come home for dinner for the time being.”

Anthony didn’t utter a single word at his mother. There was no point. His mother would always stand on his father’s side no matter how wrong he was. She would make up excuses for him every single time. He often wondered if his parents realized how fucked up their own relationship was. He was so lost inside his head, he wasn’t even aware when his mother left his office. He was rather startled when Vincent grabbed his shoulder and shook him gently.
