Emma could only look at the female in front of her with a hard look in her eyes.
She had grown up in an environment where people always said what they felt. Emma had always expressed her feelings, forging a deep connection with those around her.
So, even if Emma understood that most people were private with their personal lives and did not want to share every detail of their lives, she could not understand why Lisa would not count on her.
Emma had shown her more than enough affection to confirm that she was on Lisa's side no matter what happened.
But even now, Lisa looked slightly uncomfortable as she sat before Emma.
The younger woman looked down, contemplating what to say to Emma before deciding on a mixture of half-truths.
"I did not want to worry you unnecessarily. Besides, the bullying was not even that bad. The most that I went through was an accident where I burned myself. It is much better than what I've been through my whole life."
