Preparations for Kane and Collin's trip to Thorn Manor had been completed. Lord Alexsander had stopped by Deacon's room to say farewell to Giselle and check his son's condition.
"Sparrow, how is he doing?" Kane asked, coming to stand beside his wife as Giselle stayed by their child's bedside, waiting for him to regain consciousness.
"He's resting peacefully. I wish there was more I could do for him."
Kane knelt next to her and placed a kiss on Giselle's cheek. "You are doing a great job. Despite the chaos, you kept him calm. You make me so proud, sweet Sparrow."
Getting to his feet, Kane gave a heavy sigh. "It is time for us to leave. I will try to get back to you and Deacon as soon as possible. As of now, I have spoken with Gabriel. He will remain here with you and Deacon. I think he's the next most qualified person to guide us until I can return with Sir Nash because he has knowledge of these things."
