Treasure

He punched. At this moment a magic seal appeared around Evan as countless seals filled the air, the mana in the surroundings were absorbed into the seal. As a catastrophic hand emerged moving to slap Damien like a fly as he exploded from the wind barely touching him. As the wind passed in the direction of where he exploded to his goons, all of them instantly died as the ground and surrounding area were overturned like a catastrophe had occurred.

"Hmmm?" In the nearby city, inside a huge palace. A woman got up from a golden chair with several gems embedded in it. She looked at the direction where Evan was.

"B-rank but extremely close to A, interesting" she said, as she once again sat down minding her own business.

"Gulp" "Gulp" "Gulp" "Gulp"

Evan gulped, as he drank the potions in his ring.

"Sigh, my only lifeline is gone now. From this moment on any random person above or the same level as I can kill me... I need to reach C-rank soon and hide away" He said, as he had finished drinking the super potions.

Getting up he went to see if he could find anything of value, but the hand had erased everything in that direction into nothingness, sighing he moved back to the city.

Entering the city, he was relaxed. After all, it was a common rule in cities, no killing, stealing, or any harassment, unlike towns.

Finding an inn, he went to sleep after all it had been a long day.

Waking up once again, he ate breakfast selling his materials earning quite a bit of silver. Today he had felt his need to grow to C-rank even more, at least he would've been able to fight back if he was C at least.

Heading to an information center that was around 7 stories tall, he had felt his speed of improvement was too slow. It had taken a long time to feel mana making him E-rank a few months ago now D-rank. So he decided to buy information about any natural treasures that could help him get to C-rank.

Entering the building, he saw countless people walking in and out, looking around were several signboards. For private information, people, all sorts of things.

Heading to one of the several counters, he was asked.

"What do you need?"

"Information about treasure to advance to C-rank"

"Floor 3, room 301"

Looking around for a staircase he climbed the floors. Finding the room on floor 3, was the first one.

"Please wait, someone is already in" said an attendant standing by the door,

"Okay"

Looking around he saw chairs by the side for people to wait, surprisingly it was empty. He sat down waiting.

Not long after a man came out, as the attendant said,

"Go in."

Heading inside he found a table and chairs one on both sides with an old man sitting on the other side, the table was a normal wooden one with wooden chairs. The design of the room was just normal, which was painted in white.

As Evan sat on his chair the man then asked him,

"What you looking to buy?"

"locations of treasure to advance to C"

Thinking for a moment, the old man said,

"It's quite your lucky day, We had just gotten news some days ago about an elfina fruit about to ripe"

In this world of magic, there was a saying everyone beneath C was a mortal and C was an ascendancy. But there were some special ways to advance, these were for the nobles or rich merchants whether talented or not. It would benefit them immensely, these were natural treasures.

For talented people it saved time, and for talentless, it was the only way to at least have a long life. After all, just entering C-rank you will obtain at least 300 years of life, some get more. This was why everyone below C was also known as a mortal.

"how much is it?" Evan asked

"Not much just 400sc"

"WHAT" Evan exclaimed

"What? its a treasure to advance it's bound to be expensive, its location is basically having it" He responded

Evan: -_-

He put his hand inside his clothes as his ring appeared on his hand and a pouch appeared.

"I didn't use this because it would be too suspicious of a person eating and sleeping while doing nothing and I couldn't go walking around with this as well. Sigh, I have to use this now and get to C" He thought,

"Am I the first one who bought this?" he asked.

"At the moment, yes, but we will be announcing it after an hour. Take your chance young man and leap into the sky" he said

Giving him the pouch of money, the old man counted.

"Here's the map, its the red spot"

Taking the map he said "thanks" as he rushed to leave while opening the map. Seeing the location, it was close by which was good and bad.

It was in the wild plain but at a 2k cave.

Running he rushed to the plain running there. He didn't get a carriage as he didn't want to suddenly get his location exposed or his driver being a D-rank attacking him from greed.

As he rushed, on the other side.

"Are you really only going to announce it after an hour? Wouldn't it be gone later?" the attendant asked him

"Give the kid a shot, I see myself in my younger days like him. Plus it's better than some spoilt nobles" The old man said,

Running Evan felt no fatigue as his advancement was waiting for him. Would he make it? or would something unexpected happen?
