Chapter 114: I Heard You Have a Beautiful Sister?

"It's painful, isn't it?"

As Harrison Wells maintained his somber demeanor and the others grew tense, Su Sheng suddenly chuckled, saying something seemingly unrelated. Pain? What pain? Barry Allen and the others were puzzled, but a flicker of understanding crossed Harrison Wells's face.

"I'm forced to stay in a world that doesn't belong to me. I want to go home, but I can't. I have to create and help my enemies. If anyone in this world cares about Barry Allen's safety, it's you. Because if he dies or loses his speed, you'll never get home. You'll be stuck in a world full of dead people to you."

Su Sheng sighed, and Harrison Wells remained silent.

In some ways, they were similar—both trapped in a world that wasn't theirs. That sense of alienation and loneliness could be overwhelming. The difference was that Reverse-Flash wanted to go home, while Su Sheng didn't. Su Sheng admired Reverse-Flash's ability to endure for fifteen years.

"How do you know this?" Harrison Wells asked in a deep voice.

Su Sheng smiled and glanced around. "That's not important. What's important is that your trap isn't very effective, especially against a speedster."

"Why not?" Oliver Queen asked, still hidden on the roof.

"Because speedsters have enough time to observe their surroundings—like this electronic fence, for example... or the one crouching on the roof," Su Sheng said, turning his gaze to where Oliver was hiding and waving his hand.

Electricity surged toward the roof, forcing Oliver to leap down in a hurry.

"Green Arrow, Oliver Queen, we finally meet," Su Sheng said with a smile.

When Caitlin called to say that Harrison Wells had admitted to being Reverse-Flash, Su Sheng knew it was a trap. That's the advantage of having superior intelligence. Su Sheng knew what Reverse-Flash would and wouldn't do, and admitting his identity when Barry had lost his speed was definitely something Reverse-Flash wouldn't do. But Su Sheng still came.

First, he wanted to see what kind of trap it was. Second, he enjoyed the idea of turning the tables.

Upon arrival, he scanned the environment and left a few "gifts" behind.

"You know me?" Oliver asked, drawing his bow.

"If I didn't recognize you dressed like that, how blind would I have to be? This trap..." Su Sheng gestured around, smiling. "Your idea?"

"Yes," Oliver replied.

"Very good," Su Sheng chuckled, leaving Oliver feeling uneasy.

What did he mean?

Su Sheng turned and walked toward Harrison Wells, raising his voice. "Sisko, are you sure this electronic fence can trap me?"

"Of course," Sisko Ramon replied confidently from the surveillance room.

"Then let's test it."

With that, Su Sheng walked past Harrison Wells and stepped straight into the electronic fence.

Everyone was shocked.

Confidence? Or arrogance?

"Barry!" Harrison Wells shouted, signaling Barry to activate the trap.

Barry hit the switch, and in an instant, an energy barrier appeared around the electronic fence, trapping Su Sheng inside.

"Phew!"

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Harrison Wells put his glasses back on and smiled at Su Sheng. "Confidence and arrogance are sometimes just a step apart, and you'll pay for your arrogance."

"Is that so?" Su Sheng reached out and touched the electronic barrier, smiling. "Finally caught me, huh? You must be excited and happy now. Caitlin, I thought we were friends?"

Caitlin Snow looked at Su Sheng apologetically. "We are friends, but what you're doing is wrong. I'm sorry, I... I had to."

"A clash of ideals is understandable," Su Sheng replied lightly, turning to Oliver Queen. "I heard you have a beautiful sister?"

"If I were you, I wouldn't say that right now. It'll only make your situation worse," Oliver retorted coldly.

"I have a gift, and I didn't know who to give it to until I saw you!" Su Sheng slowly raised a finger. "One!"

"What? What are you talking about?" Oliver asked, tension rising.

"Two!"

"Su Sheng, you..." Barry started, growing increasingly anxious as Su Sheng confidently counted down.

"Sisko!" Barry shouted, urging Sisko to check if Su Sheng had done anything.

"Three!"

As Su Sheng's voice fell, everyone braced themselves, but... nothing happened.

"He's bluffing," Oliver huffed.

But Su Sheng, with a smirk, silently mouthed, "Boom!"

Suddenly, an explosion erupted behind Oliver Queen, causing his arrow to detonate. The blast sent Oliver tumbling forward with a pained groan.

"Oliver!" Barry shouted, rushing over in concern.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Explosions rang out one after another, flames roaring and smoke filling the air. Amidst the chaos, Harrison Wells's wheelchair was also blown up, the explosion somehow stronger than the others, shaking the entire S.T.A.R. Labs facility.

"No..." Sisko Ramon cried out, dashing down the stairs.

When he reached the basement, he found the place in ruins, a chaotic mess. Through the smoke, he spotted Harrison Wells, now without his wheelchair, looking dazed. Barry was helping Oliver, and Caitlin appeared slightly disheveled but otherwise unharmed.

"Thank God everyone's okay," Sisko breathed a sigh of relief, but a nagging feeling gnawed at him.

No one was seriously injured, and no one was killed in the explosions. Could they really be that lucky?

"Su Sheng!" Sisko suddenly looked up at the electronic fence. It was still intact. He sighed in relief and checked the equipment—it seemed untouched by the explosions.

Lucky? No.

This wasn't luck; it was Su Sheng's intention!

He had deliberately left the trap intact and spared everyone's lives. But... why?

Sisko glanced at Su Sheng, who was smiling inside the electronic fence. What was he planning?
