This calendar was none other than the World Calendar.

"In that case, today is the 27th of March?"

"That's correct, Great Chief. Today is Wednesday, the middle of the week. As you have taught us, the days of the week in a month are a match to other months within the respective quarters."

"Very good. It'll be easier now to calculate the dates this way."

An American named Elisabeth Achelis proposed this calendar system back in 1930. Unfortunately, it got lost in time after no one really used it.

It definitely had its advantages, though. And that's why Kim Gi-Wu was planning to use it now.

First of all, the dates fell on the exact same days within each of the four quarters. As such, you didn't need twelve separate pages to print each month like the Gregorian calendar. Only three pages were sufficient enough for the job.
