Chapter 5

(Elias's POV): Something was wrong, I could feel it. I hope Lexia's fine, because whatever feeling this was it wasn't mine. Which sounds weird. But weird things happen all the time.

"Do you feel that?" Jax asked me.

"I'm feeling something, but I don't know what, why?" I asked him.

"I don't know, I feel as if something bad's about to happen."He trailed off.

"So, you mean. Like somethings wrong?" I asked.

Jax's head snapped in my direction and his eyes were wide, but he nodded anyway. I shook my head. Suddenly Jax's phone dings and he checks the notification. Depending on his expression it's not good.

"Pack your bag, we're going for a sleepover!" He says.

"Where?" I asked

He gave me a sly grin and said something that turned my world upside down.

"The girls' dorm. Ready to climb?" He chuckled.

I grinned, not taking his sarcasm seriously. But I didn't know I should have regretted it.

"Twenty minutes ago when you said 'ready to climb' I didn't think you meant that literally, remind me again why we are scaling the south side of the girls dormitory?" I asked Jax.

I happen to know that Lexia is on this side of the building. Which means Aviva is too because they are roommates. And that also answers where we are going, the only question I had by the time we reached their window was, 'Why are we here?' The window opened and Bree stuck her head out, and saw us.

"Finally, what took you guys so long?"She whispered.

"What are you doing in Lexia and Aviva's room?" I asked.

Jax climbed in first and then I followed, we put down our stuff and Jax asked what we had both been wondering.

"What's going on?"

Bree's face was drained of color, which isn't a good sign. Then I noticed Lexia wasn't in the room.

"Where's-" Bree rolled her eyes and cut me off.

"Relax lover boy, she's in the bathroom, taking an Ice bath. It's the only solution to keeping 'him' out of her head and dreams."

"Him?" Jax beat me to it.

"Yes 'Him', he's in her dreams. And he found a way to get in her head." Bree said.

It seemed Jax caught on because he pales and becomes all serious.

"What's 'he' have to do with anything, and who is 'him'?" I asked.

"The 'Him' we're talking about, has gotten into Lexia's head. And 'he' is called Zero. The greatest Shape shifter ever known in the Supernatural world, and 'him' being in the picture isn't a good sign either, Elias." Jax says.

"What's the Ice bath doing?"

"An Iced bath is blocking 'his' connection to Lexia, which is a good thing!" Bree answers.

I nodded. Just then Lexia comes out in nothing but a towel, and we all freeze. She screeches and goes back into the bathroom, slamming the door in the process. I could feel my cheeks flaming. And Jax chuckled, while Bree rolled her eyes.

"I'm assuming you two are staying the night?" She says.

Jax nods and shoots her a flirty grin, I elbowed him.

"Watch it, you've got a girlfriend. And I'm pretty sure if Lexia saw that she'd kick you in the ass." I chuckled as he turned beat red and looked away.

He walked away and was setting his stuff up. I sat on a bed waiting for Bree to come back since she left the room for the kitchen downstairs, I noticed a bookshelf beside the two twin beds and took a peek. 'The Giver' caught my attention, so I pulled it out to start reading it. Lexia came out of the bathroom with a grey t-shirt and a pair of black pajama shorts. She had pulled her long black hair back into a braid. She took a glance in my direction.

"Where's Bree?" She asked.

"Kitchen!" Is all I say before she breaks into a playful grin and shakes her head.

"Bree and her food, never get in between that girl and her food, especially her steak."

I chuckled, and she sat on the bed beside me. Bree barged in the door with arms full of food and drinks. Jax got up to help her. Lexia and I continued to chat, when suddenly Lexia stiffened and it was like she put up a wall. She asked,

"Have any of you heard the name Aura or Echo?"

"Nope, don't ring a bell. Why?" Bree asked.

"Ok, do you guys know what a Cadejo is?" She asks.

"No way! That shouldn't happen, at least not yet, and not in this order. Please tell me you haven't met a minotaur yet?" Bree asked

"What do you mean? And yeah, I have come across the minotaur. But none of this makes any sense, and how did you know?"

Lexia seemed to be getting more uncomfortable and fidgety with this conversation. So when she started pacing I began to become more suspicious of where this conversation was going.

"What's going on?" I asked.

It wasn't anyone in this room who answered me either, a voice at the opened door filled me in.

"Lexia's being tracked down a lot sooner than I thought possible, I'm afraid Zero wants her even more. Which means we need a plan to keep her safe, obviously that Hellhound reported back to his master. And with this upcoming threat one of our warriors isn't enough to protect you." The school mistress Lisa says .

And finally Aviva entered the room, and she didn't look happy.

"We've got a big problem…" She trailed off and took in the situation-wrongly, might I add.

"Couldn't stay away, eh. Loverboy!?" She had a hand on her hip and raised a brow.

I rolled my eyes at her, and I could feel Lisa's gaze on me. She's going to say something. But what ?

Apparently she didn't have time to say a word, because the girls dormitory erupts into flames, and the sound of horses stampeding outside was heard. But soon we'd find no horses were ever there. Fire seemed to slither from under the door, it started out as normal colors of fire consisting of oranges, yellows, and reds. But as it coated the walls and ceiling to take on shades of purples, blues and greens. Soon we were left in an actual circle or ring of no fire. The door slammed open with such force it flew off its hinges revealing the hallway encased in dark flames. And that's when all hell broke loose.

Aviva' POV:

ThUmP, tHuMp, thump

Something BIG was coming, and it was coming fast. If Bree and I were coffect and I really hope we weren't .Then we're all in trouble if it doesn't get what it wants.I glanced at Bree, she looked pale and was shaking in fear.

Then 'HE' spoke,

"C'mout, C'mout, wherever you are" A rather human voice spoke instead of what I expected.

I looked around and noticed Lexia was gone, so when I addressed it to the group. They all looked mortified.

"Where's Lexia?"

No one answered.
