For some reason it made me want to ask about his mate— if he had one. I only stopped myself because he was starting to look more ticked off than playful. That didn’t seem like a good thing.

"What exactly do you want from Layton and Zev? They’re not even Alpha’s yet."

"What do I want from them? Let me think…" he said, pretending to be thinking over his words.

I rolled my eyes because it seemed like he was just teasing me.

"I guess Layton and Zeverus are just cleaning the mess that their pack made years ago. Isn’t that what you wanted? You want people to start taking responsibility for their actions. Now Layton and Zeverus can do just that," Liam said.

"What did they do? They were barely thirteen when you attacked!"

"Blue Bloods and New Elite owe me something."

"Zev said that you were the one who ran away with a grudge against everyone. How is that their fault?"
