"Lady!.." I heard a faint voice yelling at me. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked again. I felt this person poke me making me open my eyes wide. My eyes flickered and I rose like I had seen a weird beast in front of me.
I tugged on a sofa and saw a man gazing at me with a narrowed eyes. His gray eyes are staring into mine with extreme interest.
And then I thought of what just happened a while ago. I escaped from the rogues and met a handsome man jogging in the middle of the forest. He is the man. Only, he is wearing a white V-neck shirt. Nevertheless, he still looks handsome. I won't denied. it is the truth anyway.
"You fainted.." He strolled. "I don't know where you live so I took you home."
I bit my lower lip and tried to calm myself and to process what's happening. I fainted and he took me to his humble home..which is not humble because all I see is everything lined in gold and crystals. The wall, the table, the chandeliers ad most of his furniture.
"You were also having a nightmare, " he added. "Are you okay?"
I gulped hard. It is not a nightmare. It is a painful memory. But, of course, I won't tell him that. "I am fine," I replied., sitting erect on his soft couch. "I tend to have weird dreams when I am tired." I tried to laugh because it sounded so awkward and he knew it because he raised his eyebrows.
He crossed his arm against his chest and leaned back. He nodded at the pitchers and the glass on the center of the table. "Drink, " he ordered. "Water was the last word you uttered before you fainted."
I bit my lip and smiled weakly. "I am sorry," I told him before pouring water into my glass. I am thirsty, alright. I have been walking since last night. I sat, unmoving on the couch while this man stared at me like a puzzle he is trying to solve.
I cleared my throat. "I am sorry for being a trouble to you." I gripped tightly on the glass. "I will get going -" I have someone to catch up with, Adrian. My license! I mumbled to myself trying not to make him hear a single word I said.
"You can stay here tonight." He said. I glared. This man must be joking. He shouldn't just make me use a curse word on him after all the care he has shown me. I hate it when men try to please while in the real sense they are evil.
But on second thought. My eyes widened as I turned to him. He is staring at me now, with serious eyes, before shrugging. "It is late." He nodded at the window which showed how dark it is outside. I looked at his zip it was bulging. He seems incredibly big down there. I look away from him licking my lips. I didn't want to say yes or no either.
"How long did I sleep?" I am pretty sure, it was morning when I met him.
More than ten hours," he retorted before sighing. "I also prepared dinner. I figured you would be starving when you wake up."
"No. It is okay. I stopped talking when my stomach loudly grumbled. He chuckled and stood up. He glanced at me over his shoulder. " You can follow me if you have already processed everything, " he uttered. " I am Jeff, by the way." I am a businessman well known here.
I sat across Jeff during dinner. At first, I thought there was a feast because he cooked a lot of meals for dinner. "I figured you would be hungry so I cooked a lot." He said while he took his bite of roasted meat. I have never eaten roasted meat in my whole life. This is like roasted meat is his stable food because he eats it like nothing. His mouth moved and I was drooling staring at it. It would sure be delicious the way he is licking his lips.
Well, there is no telling how rich he is. He owns a mansion. Everything inside the house looks like it is dipped in gold and crystals. I have never experienced this before. I quietly started eating and I must confess he sure cooked good- not as good as my mother but as a rich man who can afford to hire a chef. He surely can make mean roasted meat. It was spicy.
"What is your name?" He asked out of nowhere. I looked up at him and saw him quietly drinking his Apple juice while looking at me with his brows arched.
I hushed for a moment. " I am…." I stammered starting at his muscular chest. "I am Andrea."
He nodded. "Nice to meet you Andrea." He smiled weakly. "I hope it is okay for me to call you by your name."
I smiled and nodded. "Sure you can, names are invented for that reason." I chuckled awkwardly.
And then there was this odd silence in the air. Only the clinging against the plate was heard. It is awkward but I am used to being awkward so this is not new to me. For the first time in my life. I have thanked my experience as an Omega. In my pack, we were seen to be abnormal and the pack made us did abnormal things.
"Where did you come from?" Jeff asked. "And why were you running in the forest?"
I gulped hard. And suddenly I was sweating coldly. "Huh? Pardon?" I asked. It is okay to act stupid than to admit to him what happened to me in the forest. And even if I did, he wouldn't believe me. Humans don't believe in stuff like werewolves.
Besides, I am exiled from my pack. I can't tell him anything about my origin anymore.
Jeff narrowed his eyes at me as he studied my reaction. "Why were you in the forest?" He asked. "I just find it weird for women to be lost in the forest. Unless of course..well." He meandered and shrugged.
