Chapter 1. The Invitation

"Damien these came in today for you", Holy-shit men!

Calvin wailed in laughter While he stood and perceived in awe observing the she-wolf and me in a compelling position.

"Mean no disrespect Alpha", he differed to me his apologies after much-needed time to compose his demeanor finally saying sorry, apologizing again as he stared on amusedly before communicating through mind link with me.

"I thought you were alone here at the office, I wanted to drop these letters off before I retire to my room", he informed moving quickly toward my desk to place the letters on it.

Looking at my best friend smirking mockingly at me I scowled in annoyance at his disrespectfulness towards his Alpha. guess he was enjoying the embarrassing circumstance he finds me in smirking cheekily.

It's not every day one snatches his best friend's pants down, "I guess he's not leaving us to get back to our business", Drake who was my wolf snarled in annoyance while I replied wondering ways to get back at him.

"Yeah he's not", disappointedly I knew he fancy Meg one of my maids among all our one-night stands rather unfortunate she isn't ours to keep. We will have to put a pin on this Drake, as much as I want my sexual satisfaction fulfilled at the moment am not a fan of sexual audiences I signed in defeat.

"Let's murder this wolf already", Drake roared in my mind saying, you do know he's always in my space, like right now, and he has the nerve to smirk at us, I occasionally wonder how you two could be best of friends, to begin with, Drake snared peeking from him to Meg who still had my d**k in her m***th s****g me dry nonchalantly, gee! bet she didn't hear we have an audience right now.

barking in irritation.

" Right my apologies the council delivered these to you", indicating the letters he dropped on my desk earlier while stepping aside to occupy the other sits before I watched in horror, I thought he had planned on going to sleep.

I took my seat behind the desk and looked over at the envelope curiously it's not every day one gets a letter from them, a call or an email is mostly how they disseminate to pack Alphas.

"Open it already am curious", Calvin pleaded while stretching his neck in curiosity just to have a look, I Am also curious, my wolf Drake replied while I pulled out the content from the envelope in frustration looking at

the card in curiosity.

On it was an invitation to a union ceremony between Alpha Nathan and Aurora Mackenzie, I passed the invite over to Calvin as he glanced over and asked with a dull tone.

"A wedding invitation?

"Why will council send you these Damien, I mean we are wolves, not humans, we don't do the whole marriage thing he insinuated, it is a mark and mate for us,

so what are these for anyway", he flapped the invitation in his hands asking.

"It's a long story my dear friend, what's important is our presence has been requested, and as this pack's Alpha.

I need to be present and as my good friend and this pack will have to take charge until I get back, and make arrangements for my travel Calvin, the wedding is in two weeks at the Blood Moon Pack as I addressing him.

"Damien how many warriors would you need to travel with", he asked while I suggested twelve of my men with the Jeeps as well. "I will be using that, also inform Phillip about it, he will be joining me on this trip

Phillip happens to be my gamma and best friend as well, yes I have two best friends who are very different in character, Phillip is very mature in character while Calvin is hotheaded you know what I mean.

"Damien Jared Porres -it - just - a wedding! He voiced out his opinion on going fully prepared with my warrior on this trip, while I defended my notion "I know but I don't appreciate leaving the pack unprotected when am away", so I responded by saying "anything can happen my dear friend remember we've pissed lots of people off and we definitely can't be careless about that right now I want to be back before the annual mating ball celebration which we're the organizers of it this year, everything needs to be perfect Calvin", and it will trust me Calvin replied.

Have the invitation sent out to all neighboring packs, their Alpha, and their respective Luna as well, oh and check if the list of unmated wolves for this year is in, it should be sent by the council in two days for proper planning,

Anyway, I pity her, poor girl she is going to have her hands full with that Nathan guy, so presumptuous, narcissistic, and desirous, do you recollect the scene he caused in the last Alpha's meeting where he refused to comply with the treaty agreement because he thought he and his pack deserves more revenue instead of equal division among the rest of the pack, it got you so pissed you two ended up fighting each other in the process.

Anyway, who is this Aurora girl Damian? He asked curiously saying, I indifferently shrugged off my shoulders as I replied to him.

I've tried to ask dad since he is part of the council, but so far I've got nothing, from him just the same information that I already am available to which is to all the Alpha I replied to him as I continued saying.
