Daniel and his wife didn't take their eyes off of me as I sat on the bed, still feeling the dreadful pain of whatever it was they tried to do to me with my head bowed, feeling their taunting gaze from where I sat.
"What were you two trying to do to me?" I muttered.
"We were trying to help you with the immortality ritual, but it was much too hard to do on you, seeming as if you already had it done for you anyway," Daniel responded, folding his arms against his chest.
"This doesn't make any sense, why would you have immortality? Who could have done it for you if it wasn't the Lafrah coven? Why are you trying to hide from them if you are from them?" Stephanie questioned.
"I am from the Lafrah coven, I don't know what you two are on about–"
"If you were, they would have told us you were alive and back again!" Daniel yelled, "Now start talking on how all this is even possible."
