Chapter 6

" Della!! What happened?? Hold on a little.. where the hell is the doctor" Sam said with a worried face.

I kept looking at the door, why are they still not here..? I don't know how much longer can she hold what if.. okay don't think of the worst possibilities I thought to myself.

Then we heard some footsteps they were getting faster. The guards might have heard our call for help. As soon as they came into view we saw Chris along with them.

"Damn what is he doing here" I heard Sam cursing.

I turned around to look at her tensed and then Della, she was much worse.

They came in after opening the lock of our door "we don't know what happened to her all of a sudden" Sam said.

"Let me check "the doctor quickly went over to Della and took out his stethoscope and examined her " where is it you are having trouble".he asked her

"My stom--ach..it hur..hurts," Della said pointing down to her lower right side

"Did you have pain before?" the doctor asked

"Yes .. six months back... I took medication and it stopped.." Della said clutching her stomach painfully and crawling into a fetal position.

The doctor examined her abdomen after ten minutes he spoke with Chris about the condition and finally, he turned to a tensed-looking us and said

" I think it's most probably appendicitis.. I'll give you some meds and have it after food... if it's not reducing call me". Della nodded.

He turned to us and nodded with that they left all while he was examining Chris kept stealing glances at Sam guess the bond was seriously doing tricks on him. After they left the guards took the lock, locked it and left.

Soon after their footsteps faded, Sam turned to me and gave me a huge grin that's when I released the breath that I was holding... I puffed out a large amount of air and walked to her.

Della also got up and walked over to us looking tensed " I thought we would get caught"

" you did great .. how did you know how to act like this??" I wondered out loud.

She laughed loudly " I had appendicitis two months back before I turned... I remember it even now.. that's nothing you'll forget if you had it once in your life"

Now we turned to the sound of keys Sam was holding " voila... tonight.."

**flashback**

Sam said " Della can you put up an act when the doctor comes. Can you engage him so that we'll get the keys from the guard?

" of course... I can Sam" Della replied.

"Are you sure this will work? What if we get caught? What if we get worst punishment than being in this prison? what if.."

I was cut off by Sam "relax angel.. nothing will go wrong.. I'm positive I can do it. Actually, I have done it before" she grinned sheepishly" once to sneak out from my house to attend a bonfire outside our pack"

"Okay," I said. Not really convinced.

**flashback ends**

" But I was worried when I saw Chris... I thought I couldn't do it anymore... if the doctor didn't talk to him that time I wouldn't have got the keys. All while he kept digging holes on my head" Sam said irritated.

I and Della giggled. But Della became serious all of a sudden " are you sure Sam you want to leave your destined mate. Once we escape... there might not be a chance for you to see him again"

Sam's face fell" I know Della.. even if his wolf might want us.. he will not turn his back on his alpha.. he would have helped us if he did care for us.. he would reject us anyway..so there's use for my stay here and have my heart shattered" she sighed.

We both went near her, I hugged her " everything will be fine" I assured her.

In the evening we were called to meet Alpha. Sam was taken first, whenever we were called I was afraid about them not coming back. I only felt relieved when we were all back in the cell together for which I'm thankful at least we had us as Sam said.

One of the guards came "you" he spat "come"

today might the last day I would see him. I always wondered If under any other circumstances we met like a pack meeting or something, how would this go. Maybe things would have been different, maybe I could see a different side of him. I walked towards the room at the end of the prison, where they would interrogate people. I walked inside he was already seated in a plain white shirt with the first few buttons opened and black checkered pants. He looked tired and had stubble, seems like he was busy these days.

"Sit" the guard pushed me down on the chair, Alpha growled… flaring his teeth...

"Careful, Alex" he spat at the guard. "I don't tolerate this kind of behaviour"

"Yes. Sorry Alpha" Alex said bowing his head. Seriously this guy is much bipolar he treated me worst and now he's asking the guard to be careful.

"You can leave" when Alex left, Alpha gave me his full undivided attention.

"So, have you decided to open your mouth?" he cocked his head to a side "or are you also going to stay silent just like your friends?"

"I already told you we were just passing by-"

"Which pack are you from?"

"Atlantia"

" Nah, the wrong answer," he said.

"Let's try this again, Which pack are you from?"

"Atla-"

He cut me off with a furious growl "I hate liars" he boomed getting up from his seat and throwing the chair back with a thud, he rounded the table and came stood before me.

Holding my chin up "what else can that pretty mouth of yours do? apart from lying.." He asked looking at my lips. "I hope it can do wonders, once all these are over and your cover is blown up, don't you think You should still serve useful ?"

"Wha-at?" I panicked what does he mean by "useful?"

He smirked while he lowered to my level, his hold left my chin and he traced his finger along my lips. "Let's find that out later." He whispered with an intense stare.

while my eyes flicked down to his lip, they were pink and very kissable. The room suddenly became hot, I wished he did close the distance between us.

"Alex" he called out quickly standing straight after leaving me there a little bothered. "Take her back to the cell" avoiding my eyes he turned and left the room without another word.

Alex took me back to my cell, with me still a little shocked at what happened. Did he just try to..? Wait what was that? What was I thinking?
