Chapter 27 Danger after danger

CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN POV

I get up from my seat at the table and remove the blanket. I took a step forward and used a barrier to keep the others from attacking these rude visitors.

"Good girl. You know what you need to do."

"Is this about my father? What did he ask from the council again?"-I asked. He took out a talisman and smirked. I'm unable to move any longer. This just signifies that the council has a supernatural being as an ally. Those newly discovered foes came in. 'What should I do? I have to protect everyone!'

"That is my prey, Salvador!"-Glaiza said. To stop her, he tried a talisman, but it turned to ash. He pulled out his revolver and fires at her. But, of course, she employed a deterrent. I'm still dizzy and weak, and I can't utilize my strength or I'll die. I'm not going to be reborn. If I am, I'll be losing myself. That is something I am afraid of! I can't let that happen.

"Cynthia, open this!"-aunt Clara. I shook my head.
