RAIN
"There isn't a single thing leading to you."
Day and I are back at the little cafe that has come to be our favorite. I have been sitting on pins, waiting to hear from him since he told me he will try to find out if there are leads in the will's issue.
"How?" my nerves are making it impossible to sit still.
"I don't know," he crosses his legs, a finger running along the rims of his cup. "And I am good at that stuff. Someone made sure you didn't get caught."
I don't want to hear that. "They have the upper hand, whoever it is."
"If it comes down to it, just tell Liam. He is down for you so bad, and he is pretty unhinged too."
"What does that have to do with me burning his ex's house down?"
"He will do anything for you. You didn't hurt anyone, the only house that was destroyed was Will's. The others just got a bad case of smoke," Day chuckles and I groan.
"Why are you laughing?"
