When All Things Fall Apart

You looked at the mirror combing your

hair into a bun , your reflection not

diverging much from your real self.

Every morning you use to comb your

hair and get ready for school, just like

other normal days until a school bus

decided to wack you making you end

up in this… this stupid novel world…

Why did I even get reincarnated when I

didn't even ask for it??

You were never a fan of reincarnation

fanfics to begin with since you knew

it induced only a sense of temporary

happiness by removing yourself from

your miserable life or so you thought.

But once entering an actual story there

was no doubt it wasn't true.

It sucked.

You were current in a yandere fic of

a mediaeval era in which a few male

protagonist starts simping over a

female protagonist and then a villain

or villainess enters making the story

intense, the male protagonist kills

them off for good and shows middle

finger to the other male protagonist

with a face saying "Nice try suckers!

But the heroine belongs to me" And

then they have a happy and serene

ending.

Honestly you hated that ending. But

you were a little bit at peace knowing

the more cliché the story, the better

because then you could escape all

the ways another person becomes a

yandere over you. You would rather

die than have someone simping over

you but when you looked into the

mirror you…gave an unimpressed

look giving a poker face to yourself.

Honestly, let alone someone to become

yandere for you, who would even

like you in the first place when there

are so many drop dead gorgeous girls

around? Girls who didn't even know

the meaning of skin care yet their skin

was flawless and hair silkier than

actual silk? Haha no way someone

would not even spare a glance over

you when such people existed . Plus

even your fashion taste for this era

sucked and you weren't even that

charismatic to begin with.

You were just a normal high school.

Just someone who wouldn't give a fuck

about anything or anyone and would

rather agree to be left alone in their

room rather than attending a ball full

of drop dead gorgeous and handsome

people.

Anyways you were at peace in

the novel since you weren't going

to interact with any of the male

protagonists. You were a cleaning

maid and a minor cook in the palace

and that didn't need you to come

face to face or interact with any male

protagonist which was quite a relief.

Also you were quite happy with it,

knowing you weren't even a side

character of a side character. Meaning

the rest of your life would be peaceful.

The thought was enough to let you be

at peace but it was a mediaeval era and

that meant people still had their bloody

backward mindset over women and

if that wasn't enough, there were still

pretty huge chances a war could break

out between the neighboring kingdoms

or a sorcerer would attack the king out

of the blue leaving the rest of the world

in chaos and misery.

Your train of thoughts were broken

by a familiar voice of a female. "Y/n!

Hurry up or Lady Martha will have our

head again! »

"I'm coming! Just a few seconds! " You

yelled out a reply, gathering the few

belongings which were needed in the

palace.

Rooney was just a side character like

you, who happened to live with you

in a cottage near the farm. Sounds

cliché? Good, because the farther from

the palace and city, the better chances

of not stumbling with a yandere

character. In the story, it seemed

like Rooney was your character's best

friend. She didn't have a significant

role in the story aside from cleaning

and baking just like you. There were

only few mentions in the plot where

the Prince , named Zarina called her

out to clean his room or just ordered

her to do some menial work.

Prince Izarin on the other hand is a

whole different story. You know how

there's this cold asshole or grumpy

character who threw a fit over menial

things and yet was named as the crown

prince? Yeah he was that character…

Not much cold though, just a bit more

towards the childish side. He was in

fact one of the male protagonists for

the female lead.

"Y/n! The horsemen are here! How

long are you going to take seriously?

" " Rooney called out again, this time in

a much annoyed tone. You sighed and

finally walked downstairs from your

room only to find her already sitting in

the carriage.

Realising how late it had been, you

quickly grabbed a piece of loaf the

granny had baked a few minutes ago.

"Dear y/n, you need to have a proper

breakfast otherwise you will starve

yourself" Granny Liz advised looking

over your petite figure.

"Don't worry Gran, I will grab

something to get in the Royal kitchen! "

"Take care of yourself! If you don't, no

handsome man will ask your hand in

marriage! "

You cringed real hard over her words"I

don't care about that anyway! Bye

Grandma, see you in the evening! " you

chirped as you dashed outside, finally

departing the wooden cottage. The old

lady audibly sighed over your reply

before proceeding to bake another

batch of fresh bread.

You jumped over inside the carriage,

panting and sweating as Rooney shot

you a judgemental look over your

tomboyish ways.

"What? " you snapped, irritated over

how judgemental the people of this era

were.

"Nothing" she replied bitterly before

looking out of the window.

The carriage started moving as the

horsemen whipped the horses to run

and the rest of the journey was filled

with awkward silence between the two

of you.

"Carriage rides are definitely not my

thing" you groaned, stepping out of the

carriage, a hand over your back trying

to soothe the pain that was blooming

from the rocky ridge.

A mild feeling of

nauseousness loomed in your stomach

making you a little uneasy.

The people of this era ride horses as if

it's a race car! Heck, even a race car is

better than this stupid carriage! you

grunted internally.

"Y/n, manners! " Rooney, hissed,

swatting your hand , urging you to

maintain a graceful posture since you

were in the palace. To your surprise,

the female didn't show any signs of

disconcert of the journey as if it didn't

bother her at all.

You squinted her a dubious look before

mumbling "Fine, "

You walked through the back door

where the Royal kitchen layed. Your

mouth visually watered as you entered

the vast room, the delicious smell of

delicious food lingering in the air.

You felt disappointed knowing the

food wasn't for you. That was one of

the disappointments you felt in this

world. You couldn't even afford such

food since you were only a maid and

the Head Maid didn't pay you enough

wages for your menial job.

my first work.....hope you like it
